Home favorite Siddharth Vishwakarma, ranked 1002nd in the ATP, was the surprise of M25 Lucknow as he advanced to the quarterfinals after defeating sixth seed Arthur Weber.
However, the Indian player was unable to spring a surprise against Ly Hoang Nam, the top seed of the tournament. Hoang Nam won 7-6, 6-3 to advance to the semi-finals.

Vietnam's number one player got off to a poor start in the quarter-final match, allowing his opponent to break his serve and take a 4-2 lead. However, Siddharth couldn't capitalize on the advantage and break back to win. Hoang Nam successfully broke back, leveling the score and pushing the match to a tie-break. He proved superior in the decisive set and won 7-4.
Siddharth lost his composure after losing the first set, allowing Hoang Nam to take a 5-0 lead. Dropping a break cost him a quick victory, but Hoang Nam finished the second set 6-3, thus closing out the match.
Hoang Nam's next opponent will be the seventh seed Eric Vanshelboim, who defeated his Ukrainian compatriot Vladyslav Orlov (6-4, 6-2) in the quarterfinals.
