(Dan Tri Newspaper) - For three consecutive years, Bao Viet Group (stock code BVH) has been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) along with numerous other corporate governance awards, further affirming its strong commitment to transparency and efficiency in its operations.

At Bao Viet Group, corporate governance is always highly valued, systematically reflected in its core principles and values, corporate governance framework, integration of ESG into governance aimed at sustainable development, and advanced practices such as implementing integrated reporting, carrying out corporate governance activities, and disclosing information according to established criteria.

Other good corporate governance practices implemented by Bao Viet Group include the Board of Directors' assessment of ESG, the operation of each committee under the Board of Directors, and transparency of information regarding ownership, training, and compensation of each board member.

The overall quality of corporate governance of the group is assessed based on the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard. The group's internal control system and internal audit activities are described in great detail, based on advanced models worldwide : risk management framework and control environment, internal control system, internal audit activities.

Bao Viet is the first Vietnamese company to be ranked in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) for three consecutive years – a ranking of sustainable development that assesses global businesses based on various criteria such as finance, environment, social responsibility, and governance.

This is also the only Vietnamese insurance company included in this ranking. In 2024, Bao Viet's ranking improved by 3 positions compared to 2023 and achieved a score higher than 67% of other insurance companies worldwide.

Furthermore, for 14 consecutive years, Bao Viet has been honored by the American Association of Professional Communicators (LACP) with numerous important awards, including the Platinum award in the finance and insurance sector for both its Annual Report and Sustainable Development Report, Top 5 Best Annual Reports in Vietnam, Gold award for Internally Published Report, and Outstanding Technology Application Report; ranking 1st out of 100 Best Annual Reports in Asia and 17th out of 100 Best Annual Reports worldwide.

Bao Viet's integrated report was awarded Gold at the Asia Integrated Reporting Awards (AIRA) in the Best Integrated Report category for state-owned enterprises in Asia.

Sustainable development - Spreading values

Environmental and climate change-related risks are integrated into enterprise risk management (ERM) systems, focusing on managing risks from climate change, the environment, and technology.

Bao Viet's 2024 integrated report, themed "Aspiration for Growth," reflects the spirit of innovation and determination to enhance the business and management capabilities of Bao Viet Group on its journey towards sustainable development.

The report highlights key achievements and strategies, affirming the group's commitment to building a strong and sustainable future, while also demonstrating the leadership and the entire system's determination to innovate, seize opportunities, and keep pace with the nation's rising era.

"Double transformation" is the overarching message in Bao Viet's 2024 Sustainable Development Report, a strategy that simultaneously accomplishes two important tasks: "Digital transformation" - applying digital technology to improve operational efficiency, and "Green transformation" - proactively protecting the environment and directing investment capital towards green and sustainable projects.

The goal of "dual transformation" is to help businesses enhance their competitiveness while promoting sustainable development, harmonizing economic benefits, social responsibility, and environmental protection.

Thanks to its tireless efforts, Bao Viet Group recently received the Second Prize for Sustainable Development Reporting (at the 2025 Listed Companies Awards) and was honored as a pioneering enterprise committed to improving corporate governance in Vietnam - VNCG50 (VIOD).
