Michelin recommends delicious restaurants from affordable to luxury in Hanoi

Michelin Guide suggests a series of dining spots with Asian flavors in general and Vietnamese flavors in particular for foreign tourists traveling in Hanoi.

Au Trieu Beef Pho Located on Au Trieu Street, Hoan Kiem District, Au Trieu Beef Pho is also known as Pho Tu Lun. This is one of the oldest famous pho restaurants in Hanoi . The special feature of the restaurant is that the pho broth is not clear, but cloudy, with a rich, fatty flavor, simmered from beef bones for nearly 24 hours. In 2023, the restaurant was awarded the Bib Gourmand award by Michelin (delicious restaurant with affordable prices). A bowl of pho here costs from 55,000 - 60,000 VND.

Bun Cha Huong Lien Located on Le Van Huu Street, Hai Ba Trung District, the restaurant was honored to welcome former US President Barack Obama and many other famous people. Each portion of bun cha will have both meatballs and pieces. Meatballs use minced lean meat, marinated with salt, pepper, fish sauce, rolled into round balls and then grilled. Pieces of meatballs use soft pork belly, cut into bite-sized pieces, then marinated with spices and grilled over hot coals. The pieces of meat have a fragrant smoky smell, eaten with a little sweet and sour sauce, making the flavor even more perfect. A portion of bun cha here costs from 60,000 VND.

1946 Cua Bac This is a restaurant with a strong Vietnamese culinary style. The dishes here are described as containing the entire "Indochinese Flavor" that few other restaurants have. Azabu Located on the 2nd floor of Hotel du Parc, this luxurious restaurant specializes in Japanese cuisine. Hibana by Koki Hibana by Koki is one of the first Japanese restaurants in Vietnam to receive a Michelin star. Located in the Capella Hanoi Hotel, it features Teppanyaki culinary art - preparing dishes right in front of diners.
