According to market research reports, the demand for culinary tourism continues to increase globally. Research and Markets forecasts that the global culinary tourism market could reach 4.21 trillion USD by 2033, with an impressive growth rate of 14.46% per year.

Of which, the Asia -Pacific region currently accounts for 43.1% of the market share, showing that the need to explore culture through food is booming in the region.

The World Food Tourism Association (WFTA) also noted that up to 81% of international tourists consider enjoying local cuisine an important activity in their journey, and are willing to spend 25-35% of their budget on this experience.

According to Traveloka data, culinary experiences are becoming an important driver in travel decisions across Southeast Asia, with Vietnam emerging as one of the most popular destinations for foodies, alongside Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong (China) and Japan.

Across the region, visitors are increasingly drawn to the “destination dining” model, where meals are combined with unique spaces such as river cruises, rooftop restaurants or restaurants near cultural heritage sites.

Facing this trend, on December 3, the travel platform Traveloka announced the biggest promotion program of the year, Traveloka Super Sale 12.12, taking place from December 3 to 12, 2025, creating conditions to help tourists realize their culinary exploration journey both domestically and internationally.

Traveloka representative said that the program aims to meet the need to explore Vietnam's rich culinary heritage and access iconic culinary destinations in Southeast Asia, making culinary enjoyment an inseparable part of every journey.

During the program, Traveloka applies a number of incentives with many coupons with discounts up to 99%, some products with the same price of 99,000 VND or all-day coupons for many product groups...
