Lighting a bonfire and gathering together in Nghe An.
On a cold night, people in Nghe An province light fires and gather together to welcome the Year of the Snake (2015) with joy and happiness.

In rural areas like Yen Thanh, Do Luong, Thanh Chuong, and Tan Ky districts, one or two days ago, people gathered large piles of firewood to prepare for bonfires on New Year's Eve, to ward off the cold. This is also an activity that helps strengthen community bonds.
Mr. Nguyen Ba Thao (Ma Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district) shared: “Every year, at midnight on New Year's Eve, people in the neighborhood gather at the intersection of three roads and neighborhood groups to light bonfires. Everyone huddles together, plays music, dances, and raises glasses of wine to celebrate and welcome a new year filled with good fortune, happiness, and success.”

Ms. Phuong Dung (a resident of Hai Chau district) and her family arrived early at the flower street to celebrate New Year's Eve. Tonight, her family went out for dinner and planned to find a good spot to watch the fireworks.
"For the new year, I wish my family good health, smooth sailing in their work, and good luck," Ms. Dung shared.

The flower street area attracted many international tourists. Mr. Luu Minh (a tourist from Taiwan, China) said that Da Nang has a very beautiful snake mascot and decorations. His whole family took many photos during this trip.
