A candidate in Hanoi had his high school exam results and graduation certificate canceled.

(Dan Tri) - Following the announcement of the security investigation agency, Hanoi City Police, the Department of Education and Training has just canceled the high school exam results and graduation certificate of a candidate from Dan Phuong High School.

This candidate attended this year's exam with registration number 0109xxx, exam room 3909.

The decision, signed by the Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training on December 3, was issued to NVK, born in 2007, a former student of Dan Phuong High School, taking the exam on June 26, registration number 0109492xxx, exam room number 3909, under the Examination Council of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training.

According to this decision, the reason for revoking and canceling the high school diploma is that candidate NVK used a phone in the exam room, cheating in the exam.

Thus, the candidate violated point b, clause 4, Article 21 of the Examination Regulations and point a, clause 1, Article 25 of the Regulations on management of diplomas and certificates according to the notice in Official Dispatch No. 6891 of the investigation security agency, Hanoi City Police.

According to Dan Tri reporter's source , the reason why this candidate's diploma has only been revoked now is because the Department still depends on the investigation results of the security investigation agency, Hanoi City Police.

It is known that previously, this male student was granted a high school diploma by the Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training with the number: T04742981; certificate registration number: B25/023/013327, date of issue: September 23, 2025.

Within 30 days from receiving the decision, NVK candidates must return their high school diploma to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training.

Along with the above decision, Dan Phuong High School is responsible for notifying NVK candidates of this decision and adjusting information in the archived records of the High School Graduation Exam on June 26 at the school.

The Examination Management and Education Quality Assessment Department of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training is responsible for canceling the results of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam, withdrawing and canceling the 2025 graduation certificates of NVK candidates and adjusting the information in the original records kept at the Department about the High School Graduation Exam session of June 26, 2025, and reporting to the Ministry of Education and Training according to regulations.

In the 2025 high school graduation exam, Hanoi had nearly 119,179 candidates taking the graduation exam (both the 2006 General Education Program and the 2018 General Education Program). As a result, 118,852 candidates passed the graduation exam (reaching a rate of 99.73%).

This year, Hanoi has 200 schools with 100% graduation rate (26 more schools than last year); including schools in remote areas such as Bac Luong Son, Bat Bat, Chuong My B, Minh Quang...

Hanoi also ranked first in the country with 1,583 scores of 10 in the 2025 high school graduation exam. This number increased compared to 2024.

This year, Hanoi also appeared in most of the rankings of the top 10 highest scores in each subject and the top 10 provinces with the most 10 scores.
