Fatherland Front Committee of Chuong My Ward: A "bridge" between the Party, the government, and the people.

HNP - On September 19th, Chuong My ward held its first Fatherland Front Congress for the 2025-2030 term, affirming its determination to unite, innovate, and achieve sustainable development. Attending the Congress were Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City, and 198 delegates representing all strata of the people from 51 villages and residential areas in the ward.

The political report presented to the Congress shows that, during the past term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Chuong My ward has gathered and mobilized all strata of the people to actively participate in implementing the Party's guidelines and resolutions, and the State's policies and laws; doing a good job of monitoring public opinion, promoting religious unity, and conducting social supervision and criticism.

The patriotic emulation movements and the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" have achieved many outstanding results: 100% of weddings, over 96% of funerals, and 10 traditional festivals are conducted according to civilized customs; people have donated land and contributed over 15 billion VND to build public welfare facilities.

In addition, the Fatherland Front of Chuong My ward also focuses on social welfare work, mobilizing support for the "For the Poor" Fund with over 1.4 billion VND, building and repairing 115 houses, supporting 500 poor students to overcome difficulties; by 2025, there will be no more poor households, and the number of near-poor households will be reduced to 155. Activities such as "Paying gratitude" and "For the homeland's sea and islands" have also mobilized over 2.7 billion VND…

Entering the 2025-2030 term, the Fatherland Front of Chuong My Ward has determined to continue innovating the content and methods of its activities; promoting democracy and protecting the legitimate rights of the people; strengthening social supervision and criticism, preventing corruption and negative phenomena; promoting digital transformation, and improving the capacity of its staff. The Fatherland Front of Chuong My Ward strives to organize at least 3 monitoring programs and 3 social criticism sessions annually; 2 sessions for contributing opinions to the building of the Party and government; 1 dialogue conference between officials, Party members, and members with the Party committee and government at the same level; 100% of residential areas organizing the National Unity Day; and each residential area having at least one exemplary project or task related to socio-economic development and ensuring security and order…

Speaking at the Congress, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City, Pham Anh Tuan, praised and acknowledged the outstanding achievements of the Fatherland Front Committee of Chuong My Ward in the past period, especially in patriotic emulation movements, social welfare care, gratitude and repayment, and fundraising for the "For the Poor" Fund and the "Vietnam Sea and Islands" Fund, thereby affirming its role as a "bridge" between the Party, the government, and the people.

Comrade Pham Anh Tuan emphasized that the 2025-2030 term opens up many opportunities, but also poses new demands, requiring the Fatherland Front of Chuong My ward to be highly determined and strongly innovate the content and methods of its activities. The Front needs to continue to promote its central role in gathering and building the great national unity, strengthening social consensus, and closely linking with the Party committee and government; at the same time, it needs to promote digital transformation and apply information technology in propaganda and understanding the thoughts and aspirations of the people.

Furthermore, the Fatherland Front of Chuong My ward needs to improve the effectiveness of campaigns and emulation movements associated with building a civilized urban area, protecting the environment, and promoting traditional cultural values; focusing on identifying and replicating good models and effective practices. The Fatherland Front of the ward must be more substantive in its work of social supervision and criticism, promptly advising the Party Committee and coordinating with the government to resolve the legitimate rights of the people; and preparing well for the election of National Assembly and People's Council representatives at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

Comrade Pham Anh Tuan expressed his confidence that the Fatherland Front of Chuong My ward will excellently fulfill its goals and tasks, contributing to building a more prosperous, civilized, and modern ward.

The congress elected 70 members to the Fatherland Front Committee of Chuong My ward, and Mr. Nguyen Nhu Duc was elected by consensus to hold the position of Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Chuong My ward for the term 2025-2030.
