The teaser trailer features farewell scenes between young soldiers and their families, not at all sentimental, but clearly showing their determination to defend the country; scenes of fierce battles at the ancient citadel; contrasting images between a side equipped with state-of-the-art weapons and a side of liberation army soldiers covered in blood and mud; and images of soldiers determined to defend the citadel to the very end…

The film "Red Rain" is inspired by the 81 days and nights of heroic and tenacious fighting by the people and soldiers defending the Quang Tri Citadel in 1972. This is one of the most vivid expressions of the Vietnamese people's aspiration for independence, freedom, and national unity during the resistance war against the US to save the country.

The fierce 81-day and 81-night battle to defend Quang Tri Citadel contributed to the victory at the Paris Peace Conference negotiations, paving the way for the great victory of Spring 1975, liberating the South and unifying the country.

The film tells the story of Squad 1, a group of young and enthusiastic men, one of the fighting units holding their ground at the fierce Quang Tri Citadel. The film is a visual epic, a tribute and remembrance of those who dedicated their youth to the country. "Red Rain" also carries the essence of love and sacred camaraderie, expressing the Vietnamese people's aspiration for peace and national reconciliation.

To authentically recreate the historical context of the battle at Quang Tri Citadel, the "Red Rain" film crew built a large-scale studio in Quang Tri town, next to the Thach Han River.

The film "Red Rain" features actors such as Do Nhat Hoang, Phuong Nam, Lam Thanh Nha, Dinh Khang, Hoang Long, Nguyen Hung, Tran Gia Huy, and Hua Vi Van...
