According to Mr. Le Ngoc Tien, Director of the Department of Construction of Lam Dong province, at about 4:00 a.m. on November 17, the area of Km218 - Km218+500 (Le Thu lake) on National Highway 20, the section passing through Hiep Thanh commune was deeply flooded due to heavy rain, making it impossible for vehicles to move. The Department of Construction coordinated with the People's Committee of Hiep Thanh commune, the Traffic Police Department and the interdisciplinary force to temporarily ban traffic to ensure safety.

Meanwhile, the section passing through D'ran Pass is still temporarily closed to traffic as directed from October 30, 2025, due to many dangerous landslides that previously occurred.

In addition, at 10:00 p.m. on November 16, 2025, at Km45 (in Khanh Hoa province), the positive slope suddenly collapsed, dragging rocks and trees across the road, burying a passenger bus. The incident completely cut off National Highway 27C - the route connecting Khanh Hoa with Lam Dong.

Director of the Department of Construction Le Ngoc Tien said that he has directed the road management unit to divert traffic at Km114 (in Lam Dong) and mobilize forces and vehicles to urgently clear rocks and soil, and fix landslides in Lam Dong province.
At the same time, at 9:00 a.m. on November 17, 2025, at Km224+600 - Km224+700 of Prenn Pass, a landslide occurred on the negative slope embankment along a length of about 100m, causing half of the roadbed from Da Lat to Ho Chi Minh City to collapse to the foot of the pass. This is a location with steep terrain, high humidity, and potential safety risks if heavy rain continues.

Immediately after the incident, the Department of Construction coordinated with the People's Committee of Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat, the Traffic Police Department and functional units to divert traffic through Mimosa Pass and the Tuyen Lam Lake national tourist route, ensuring smooth traffic (according to Notice 392/TB-SXD dated November 17, 2025).
In addition to the landslides and flooding points mentioned above, the Department of Construction said that national highways, provincial roads and other traffic routes in the province are still operating normally, with no additional dangerous locations recorded.
Mr. Le Ngoc Tien affirmed, “We are closely monitoring the developments of heavy rain, focusing on handling landslides to quickly restore traffic, ensuring the highest safety for people and vehicles.”
