The Northern Delta and Midland Hydrometeorological Station said that due to the influence of cold air, last night and this morning (September 22), in Hanoi there was moderate to heavy rain and the temperature dropped.

It is forecasted that Hanoi will continue to have moderate to heavy rain today and tonight. Tomorrow and tomorrow night (September 23), there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms; rainfall will generally be 40 - 70mm, and even more in some places.

Monitoring data shows that the water levels of the Bui and Tich rivers are changing slowly. The actual water levels measured on the Bui River at the Yen Duyet Hydrological Station (Chuong My District) and the Tich River at the Vinh Phuc Hydrological Station (Quoc Oai District) are still at level III flood alert.

Due to moderate to heavy rain, the Tich and Bui rivers are likely to rise again today. It is forecasted that at 7:00 p.m. tonight (September 22), the water level of the Bui river will be at 7.37 m, up 10 cm compared to 1:00 a.m. the same day; the Tich river will be at 8.32 m, up 4 cm.

With the rain continuing, it is likely that low-lying areas, along the Bui River, Tich River, and sections passing through the districts of Chuong My, My Duc, Quoc Oai... will continue to be flooded in the next 4-6 days.
