Exactly 80 years ago, on August 15, 1945, the national conference of the Indochinese Communist Party, held in Tan Trao ( Tuyen Quang ), issued a resolution establishing the "Specialized Transport Committee," the predecessor of the postal service.
During the war of national reconstruction, nearly 10,000 postal and communication officers and soldiers bravely sacrificed their lives for independence, freedom, and to ensure that the flow of information for the nation remained uninterrupted.

After the country's reunification, with the motto of moving straight towards modernization, postal and telecommunications infrastructure became the cornerstone of the reform process, laying the foundation for Vietnam to enter the era of the knowledge economy . The postal sector was the first economic sector to receive the Gold Star Medal and many other prestigious awards.
Inheriting and building upon the glorious 80-year tradition of development, with a system of 13,000 service points spread to communes and wards, and more than 40,000 employees, Vietnam Post Corporation has successfully fulfilled its political nhiệm vụ while innovating and adapting to the strong transformation of the country.
In the first six months of 2025, Vietnam Post's growth rate reached 22%. Vietnam Post is aggressively implementing a new organizational model, a new economic mechanism, and a new service ecosystem based on profound and comprehensive digital transformation.

Speaking at the anniversary ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Truong Giang, Chairman of the Board of Members of Vietnam Post Corporation, said that Vietnam Post will undergo a strong transformation to affirm its position and role as the national postal enterprise, and at the same time as a technology-driven postal enterprise.
By 2030, the company aims to achieve 70-80% operational automation, maintain a stable growth rate of 20-30% across all service segments, ensure its quality consistently ranks among the top 3 domestic express delivery companies, and become a strategic partner providing the best offline interactive services for the digital economy and digital businesses.
Vietnam Post's e-commerce platform will become the largest B2C high-quality agricultural product platform in Vietnam, the number one provider of logistics infrastructure for agricultural products in Vietnam, and ensure the best possible service to meet the postal needs of the people, with the closest nationwide coverage.
Vietnam Post has shaped an interconnected product ecosystem: postal services - logistics - digital finance - e-commerce - public services - technology.

Defining the goals for the 2025-2030 period and the vision to 2045 for Vietnam Post as "Technological breakthrough - Connecting the nation - Reaching out to the world," Mr. Chu Quang Hao, General Director of Vietnam Post Corporation, affirmed that technological breakthroughs will be an internal strength.
Vietnam Post is not only digitizing its processes but is also moving towards a digital-based business model, with three objectives: generating new revenue streams from innovation and technology; making Vietnam Post a key enterprise supporting the development of digital government, digital economy, and digital society in Vietnam; and aiming to become a technology-driven enterprise in the fields of logistics, e-commerce support, public administration, retail distribution, and personal digital finance.

Vietnam Post will also undertake the pioneering mission of the national postal enterprise in participating in major projects aimed at solving strategic problems of the country such as reducing logistics costs, optimizing supply chains and developing national e-commerce platforms.
