Within the framework of the cooperation program between Nam Dinh Provincial Youth Union and the Institute of Technology Application, the training conference “Digital literacy – Improving the capacity to use artificial intelligence (AI) for youth union members” took place at Nam Dinh Nursing University. The event is part of a series of activities to implement the goal of universalizing digital skills for all people, towards building a sustainable digital society.
The program is expected to be replicated in many other localities across the country, creating a strong technology learning movement in the youth community.
The program is held in the context of digital transformation taking place widely across the country, but in reality, there is still a significant gap in access to technology between regions. In many localities, especially rural areas, many youth union members are still limited in digital skills and lack the foundation to access and apply new technologies, especially AI.
MSc. Nguyen Van Hinh - Deputy Director of Institute of Technology Application and Human Resource Development Training
Speaking at the conference, MSc. Nguyen Van Hinh - Deputy Director of the Institute of Technology Application and Human Resource Development Training, emphasized: “We used to have a 'popular education' movement to eliminate illiteracy. Now, we need a movement to eliminate technological illiteracy. Each member needs to not only know how to use technology but also understand, create and apply technology to serve learning, work and contribute to society.”
The program also sets specific goals in contributing to the implementation of digital transformation directives, including: building a learning society for all people; universalizing digital skills to young people in all regions; and narrowing the digital gap between population classes.
With initial positive results, Nam Dinh Provincial Youth Union and the Institute of Technology Application expect that the "Digital Education for All" model will be replicated in many other localities across the country, creating a strong technology learning movement in the youth community, contributing significantly to the success of the national digital transformation.
