Thanks to numerous efforts in developing local product brands, Dak Lak currently has 237 OCOP (One Commune One Product) products, including 223 products with 3 stars and 14 products with 4 stars. In 2024, the provincial OCOP Council will evaluate and classify 44 potential 4-star product dossiers submitted by localities.

Many quality products
Currently, many OCOP products from Dak Lak province are being exported. Taking advantage of the abundant raw materials from agricultural products, businesses have engaged in deep processing to create finished products for consumers.
For example, the products of 8 entities that received OCOP certification at the district level (3-star rating) in 2023 were officially recognized by the People's Committee of Krông Năng district. These include Kabi coffee Robusta – Arabica pure coffee from Hoàng Hân Agricultural Products Co., Ltd.; An Nhi macadamia nuts from An Nhi business household; pure roasted and ground coffee from H'Năng business household; dried macadamia nuts and granola cereal from Lê Thị Kiều Lành business household; macadamia nuts from Nguyễn Thị Dung business household; specialty coffee from ROFC Agricultural Service and Tourism Cooperative; roasted macadamia nuts from Tân Định Macadamia Agricultural Cooperative; macadamia nut oil from Damaca Nguyên Phương Joint Stock Company...
For example, Krông Ana district is famous for its rice cultivation. From the large rice-growing areas in the communes of Bình Hoà, Quảng Điền, Dur Kmăl, and the town of Buôn Trấp, the local government is paying special attention and has a long-term strategy to build the Krông Ana rice brand.
Nhat Minh rice, produced by the Nhat Minh Agricultural Service Cooperative, has been recognized as a 4-star OCOP product. This is also the first unit in the area to register and use the "Krong Ana rice" brand. To achieve these positive results, the cooperative has partnered with farmers with a tradition of wet rice cultivation, building a closed production chain covering over 356 hectares. Thanks to support policies regarding mechanisms, marketing, and promotion from the OCOP program, Nhat Minh rice has gradually established its brand, reflecting the distinctive characteristics of the wet rice-growing region along the Krong Ana River.

Boost promotion
To promote trade and consumption of OCOP products, the Provincial People's Committee recently directed the Department of Industry and Trade to be the lead unit in organizing the Dak Lak Industry and OCOP Products Fair 2024. The fair will feature 250 booths from 100 units and businesses, showcasing typical rural industrial products, OCOP products, regional and local specialties; industrial goods, handicrafts, traditional village products; fine arts and crafts, agricultural products, food, etc.
According to Ms. Tran Nu Hoang Oanh, Deputy Head of the Krong Pac District Agricultural Startup Club (Dak Lak), out of the 40 products displayed at the district's joint booth, the club contributed 25. Currently, the club has 39 members with 285 product codes. These include many OCOP products and potential local agricultural products.
According to the Department of Industry and Trade of Dak Lak province, the Dak Lak 2024 Industry and Trade Fair and OCOP Products is an opportunity for the locality to promote its image, achievements in socio-economic development, science and technology, as well as its potential and advantages. It is also a major trade promotion event, creating conditions for businesses from provinces and cities to promote their brands, products, and services, as well as to network, learn from each other, exchange experiences, and seek investment cooperation opportunities to expand business markets and achieve sustainable development in the context of integration.
Meanwhile, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Tuan Ha, emphasized that Dak Lak, with its potential and advantages in agriculture, along with the diligence and efforts of businesses, cooperatives, and farmers, has created many OCOP products and high-quality agricultural products that bring great value and are in line with market trends. This fair is a practical trade promotion activity that helps introduce the potential, strengths, development achievements, and prospects of the locality.
Dak Lak hopes that the fair will facilitate trade and attract investment. This will contribute to boosting production, creating new, high-value products with advanced technology, expanding the domestic market and reaching further into the international market. This will help the local economy develop sustainably, create stable jobs, and improve the lives of farmers.
