The garden of Ms. Trinh Thi Hai's family (Minh Hoa village, Xuan Thanh commune) is brilliant with the colors of the bougainvillea garden in full bloom.
Right from the gate, the bougainvillea trellis is lush and colorful, shining in the summer sun.
Inside Ms. Hai's family garden, more than 10 bougainvillea trees, 1-3 m tall, are also in their most beautiful blooming season.
Paper flower carpets are woven from small, colorful flowers that fascinate many people.
Ms. Trinh Thi Hai (Minh Hoa village, Xuan Thanh commune) shared: “ My family started designing this garden nearly 3 years ago. With our love for flowers and ornamental plants, my family bought the plants and asked someone to graft them. After that, I learned to graft branches myself to continue developing the flower garden. We regularly take meticulous care of and prune the dry branches of the flower plants. During the dry season, the flower roots are watered twice a day and fertilized once a week to provide nutrients."
Not far away, Ms. Phan Thi Tam’s garden (Thanh Tien village) is also brilliant with colorful bougainvillea carpets. Her family currently owns dozens of Thai bougainvillea trees, bonsai bougainvillea and many other types of flowers.
Ms. Phan Thi Tam - Thanh Tien village said: " Bougainvillea is very beautiful and blooms almost all year round, so my husband and I went online to learn grafting techniques and bought seeds from a garden in Nghe An to grow. Initially, there were only a few roots, but now the garden has dozens of roots of all sizes. In addition, my family also supports grafting techniques for many other households in the area."
Taking care of the garden after work is also a relaxing time for Ms. Tam. Ms. Tam's family mainly grows flowers to decorate the garden, only occasionally selling them to those in need.
Bougainvillea pots are grown by many households to decorate their gardens.
With skillful hands, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hue (Thanh Yen village) bought bougainvillea tree roots from local people, then grafted and cared for them. In his garden, there are currently hundreds of bougainvillea and apricot blossom trees of all kinds.
It is known that in Xuan Thanh commune there are nearly 10 gardens growing many types of bougainvillea with various colors, creating a beautiful scene.
Vice Chairman of Xuan Thanh Commune People's Committee Le Van Du said: " The new rural area has brought a new look and mindset to the people. Not only the material life but also the spiritual life of the people has been significantly improved. Many beautiful flower gardens under the care of the people have contributed to embellishing the picture of the model new rural area of Xuan Thanh."
