Lush, colorful bougainvillea vines are spreading their vibrant hues across the model new rural landscape of Xuan Thanh (Nghi Xuan, Ha Tinh ).

The garden of Ms. Trinh Thi Hai's family (Minh Hoa village, Xuan Thanh commune) is ablaze with the vibrant colors of bougainvillea flowers in full bloom.

Right from the gate, the bougainvillea vines, in a variety of vibrant colors, flourish and bask in the summer sun.

Inside Ms. Hai's family garden, more than 10 bougainvillea plants, ranging in height from 1 to 3 meters, are also in their most beautiful blooming season.

These carpets of paper flowers, woven from tiny, colorful blossoms, captivate many people.

Ms. Trinh Thi Hai (Minh Hoa village, Xuan Thanh commune) shared: “ My family started designing this garden nearly 3 years ago. Driven by our love for flowers and ornamental plants, my family bought the plants and had them grafted. Then, I taught myself grafting to continue developing the flower garden. We regularly take meticulous care of the plants, pruning dry branches. During the dry season, the flower roots are watered twice a day and fertilized once a week to provide nutrients.”

Not far away, the garden of Ms. Phan Thi Tam (Thanh Tien village) is also resplendent with colorful bougainvillea carpets. Her family currently owns dozens of Thai bougainvillea plants, bonsai bougainvillea, and many other types of flowers.

Ms. Phan Thi Tam from Thanh Tien village said: “ Bougainvillea is very beautiful and blooms almost all year round, so my husband and I learned grafting techniques online and bought seedlings from a nursery in Nghe An to plant. Initially, we only had a few plants, but now our garden has dozens of plants of various sizes. In addition, my family also provides grafting techniques to many other households in the area.”

After work, taking care of the garden is also a time for relaxation for Ms. Tam. Her family mainly grows flowers to decorate their garden, only occasionally selling them to those who need them.

Many households grow potted bougainvillea plants to decorate their yards and gardens.

With skillful hands, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hue (Thanh Yen village) bought bougainvillea saplings from local people, then grafted and cared for them. His garden now contains hundreds of bougainvillea and apricot blossom trees of various kinds.

Reportedly, in Xuan Thanh commune, there are nearly 10 gardens growing various types of bougainvillea in a variety of colors, creating a stunning landscape.

According to Le Van Du, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Xuan Thanh commune: " The New Rural Development program has brought a new look and mindset to the people. Not only the material life but also the spiritual life of the people has been significantly improved. Many beautiful flower gardens, cared for by the people, have contributed to beautifying the picture of the model new rural area of ​​Xuan Thanh."
