The Nghe An Department of Education and Training (GD&ĐT) has just submitted Document No. 531/TT-SGD&ĐT dated March 14 to the Quality Management Department, Ministry of Education and Training .
Accordingly, the Nghe An Department of Education and Training has proposed adjusting the 2025 high school graduation exam schedule to an earlier date than previously announced, specifically June 8th, 9th, and 10th (the exam was previously scheduled for June 26th-27th).
At the same time, the Nghe An Department of Education and Training also requested the Ministry of Education and Training to allow adjustments to the teaching schedule for grades 9 and 12 so that the curriculum is completed before May 10, 2025, and to organize the entrance exam for grade 10 high school in 2025-2026 on May 25 and 26, 2025, earlier than usual.
According to the plan, in the 2024-2025 school year, all levels of education will complete their programs and finish before May 31, 2025. In previous school years, the entrance exam for grade 10 in Nghe An was usually held in the first week of June.
The entrance exam for 10th grade in Nghe An province for the 2025-2026 school year will consist of three subjects: Literature, Mathematics, and Foreign Language (English and French). This is the first exam implemented according to the 2018 General Education Program.
The proposal from the Nghe An Department of Education and Training comes amidst nationwide preparations for the merger of several provincial-level administrative units, the elimination of district-level units, and the continued merger of commune-level administrative units, in accordance with Conclusion 127-KL/TW dated February 28, 2025, of the Politburo and the Secretariat of the Central Committee.
According to the Nghe An Department of Education and Training, adjusting the schedule for the 10th grade entrance exam and high school graduation exam this year to be earlier would facilitate local preparations for safe, serious, and compliant implementation; ensuring the rights and psychological stability of students.
