Also attending the conference were representatives of departments and branches: Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Department of Agriculture and Environment; Department of Education and Training; Provincial Farmers' Association.
The conference is an opportunity to honor collectives and individuals who have made many contributions to the development of collective economy and cooperatives; creating motivation to promote patriotic emulation movements throughout the system.

Collective economy changes positively
In recent years, fully aware of the role and position of the collective economy in socio-economic development, Nghe An province has issued many resolutions, projects and action plans to innovate and improve the operational efficiency of cooperatives.

During the 2020-2025 period, the province established 188 new cooperatives, exceeding the set target. To date, Nghe An has nearly 900 cooperatives operating in various fields, accounting for 3.4% of the total number of cooperatives nationwide and ranking second in the North Central region.

In 2024, the average revenue of each cooperative will reach 2.6 billion VND. The collective economic sector currently contributes 4.68% to the province's GRDP - higher than the national average.
Despite many positive results, the collective economic sector in Nghe An province still faces many difficulties and challenges. Some cooperatives are small in scale, lacking input and output production services, and have limited market access. Value chain linkage models are still few, and the process of transforming operating models in many places is slow.

At the conference, there were 5 presentations from cooperatives sharing their experiences in production, business, and provision of agricultural services, especially linking production and product consumption. At the same time, some recommendations were made: All levels and sectors should create conditions for cooperatives to access policies and projects on production innovation, and apply more science and technology. Allocate regular budget sources to support cooperatives in developing and applying science and technology in production. There should be policies for cooperatives to access land accumulation...

Innovative thinking, enhanced support
Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van De acknowledged and commended the achievements of the collective economic sector and cooperatives in the recent period.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that departments, branches, localities, and the Provincial Cooperative Union closely follow the goals and orientations of the Central and the province on the collective economic development strategy according to Decision No. 340/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister.
Localities need to identify collective economic development as an important and regular political task; continue to promote propaganda, consultation, and support for the establishment and development of cooperatives, especially in mountainous areas.

The Provincial Cooperative Union is assigned the task of improving the quality of consulting and supporting cooperatives to effectively transform their operating models; building and replicating new cooperative models associated with value chains, applying high technology, and digital transformation in production and management.

In addition, it is necessary to promote trade promotion activities, connect supply and demand, and support cooperatives to expand product consumption markets. The implementation of digital transformation needs to be carried out synchronously throughout the system, creating a foundation for the sustainable development of the collective economic sector in the next phase./.
