Nghe An: Highlights September 20

* In order to promptly and effectively implement Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW of the Politburo on building and developing Nghe An province to 2030, with a vision to 2045, the People's Committee of Nghe An province requires the content of proposed mechanisms and policies to ensure focus, key points and feasibility.

Accordingly, on September 19, 2023, Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung signed and issued an official dispatch of the Provincial People's Committee to provincial departments, branches and sectors and Vinh City People's Committee requesting urgent research and proposal of specific mechanisms and policies for the province's development according to sectors, fields and management areas.

* On the morning of September 20, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee held a ceremony to grant the Investment Registration Certificate for the new Sunny Automotive Optical Vina facility investment project and witnessed the signing ceremony of cooperation between WHA Group and Sunny Group and suppliers at WHA Industrial Zone 1 - Nghe An.

The project specializes in manufacturing, processing, assembling camera modules, screens, smart car lights, smart lighting, projection modules and mold processing, photoelectric assembly and testing equipment, glass lenses, plastic lenses.

The total investment of the project is 150 million USD on an area of ​​42.8 hectares in WHA Industrial Zone 1 - Nghe An (phase 2). The designed capacity of the project with the output of car cameras is about 60 million products/year; other products are 5 million products/year; office and factory for rent is about ^370,000m2 . It is expected that by the fourth quarter of 2025, the project will be completed and officially put into operation, employing about 20,000 workers.

* On the morning of September 20, the working delegation of the National Assembly's Committee on Science, Technology and Environment organized a monitoring session on the implementation of Resolution No. 135/2020/QH14 on converting forest use purposes to implement the Ban Mong Reservoir Project.

At the monitoring session, members and relevant departments of the province and Quy Chau district focused on discussing the conversion of forest land use purposes, replacement forest planting and progress of resettlement areas for households affected by the project.

* On the morning of September 20, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council had a working session with the People's Committee of Con Cuong district according to the plan to supervise the settlement of voters' petitions in the province from the beginning of the 2021-2026 term to present.

Based on the report of the People's Committee of Con Cuong district, at the meeting, members of the Supervisory Delegation of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council requested the district to explain and clarify the results, methods of resolution, difficulties and problems, and make proposals and recommendations related to the resolution of some specific recommendations of voters.
