On the morning of May 17, in Xuyen Moc district ( Ba Ria - Vung Tau province), the Command of Coast Guard Region 3 coordinated with the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province and Xuyen Moc district to organize a mass mobilization program with the theme "Coast Guard accompanies fishermen".

Authorities propagate the law to fishermen and ship owners
At the hall of the People's Committee of Bung Rieng commune, the program took place with the main content being to propagate and disseminate legal regulations on preventing and combating illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing (IUU), combined with practical social security activities.

Coast Guard officers and soldiers propagate the law as well as remind fishermen and ship owners to comply with regulations when catching seafood.
Reporters from the Coast Guard Region 3 Command informed fishermen and fishing boat owners in the district about the current maritime security situation; and at the same time disseminated legal regulations related to seafood exploitation activities.

These programs not only contribute to strengthening the military-civilian solidarity relationship but also provide timely encouragement and support for fishermen, policy families and households in difficult circumstances, to continue to go offshore, develop the economy and contribute to overcoming the European Commission's (EC) IUU yellow card for Vietnamese seafood.
