Nam O people participate in the Cau An festival... on screen

On the morning of July 18, the traditional festival atmosphere seemed to revive in Nam O fishing village (Hoa Hai Van ward, Da Nang city) even though it was not the right holiday season. Hundreds of local people joined in the reenactment of the Cau An festival - a typical cultural ritual of Nam O fishermen - within the framework of filming the movie "Let's Go Home!".

People immerse themselves in the festival atmosphere

Although not a real festival, with the elaborate staging and enthusiastic participation of the people, the festival space appears realistic and lively. From the bustling village market, fish grilling competition, net weaving, bamboo dancing to folk games such as tug of war, jar smashing, flag capturing... all are vividly recreated, creating a "living film" imbued with the cultural identity of the coastal region.

In particular, many Nam O residents participated in mass performances, contributing to spreading the festival spirit with their pride and love for their homeland. Not only an artistic activity, recreating the Cau An festival on film also opens up opportunities to effectively promote local culture and tourism .

Small fish sauce jars and stalls contribute to reviving the image of a fishing village that has made a living from the sea and the rich flavor of its homeland for hundreds of years.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Tham, Director of the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center, said that the center will advise the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City to implement policies to support film projects in Da Nang, combining the promotion of the city's image through cinema and famous people. This is a strategic direction in building an international destination brand for Da Nang.
