People in flooded areas of Yen Bai tearfully say goodbye to soldiers

VOV.VN - After more than 10 days of effort, together with the Party Committee, government, and people of Yen Bai city, to overcome the consequences of typhoon No. 3, and after the recovery work was basically completed, today (September 22), officers and soldiers of the units set off to return to their units. Thousands of local people lined both sides of the road as the convoy passed to express their gratitude and bid farewell.
Early this morning, despite the rain, thousands of people in Hong Ha ward stood along Tran Hung Dao street to bid farewell to the officers and soldiers of the 316th Division, 355th Division, 168th Brigade, 297th Brigade, 604th Brigade, and Military Region 2, who were returning to their units after many days immersed in mud and dirt, assisting the people in overcoming the consequences of Typhoon No. 3.
Following the historic rain and flooding caused by Typhoon No. 3, tens of thousands of officers, soldiers of the Army, Police, and militia were mobilized to mitigate the consequences in Yen Bai province.
In the city alone, more than 3,500 officers and soldiers of the armed forces, mainly from units of Military Region 2, participated in supporting and assisting the people in overcoming the consequences of the natural disaster.
People lined both sides of the road as the convoy of soldiers passed, waving national flags and Party flags, their hearts filled with admiration for the soldiers who tirelessly served the people. They are the driving force and the pillar of support for the people in the flood-affected areas to continue overcoming difficulties and quickly stabilize their lives.
The farewell handshake was filled with the warm bond between soldiers and civilians.
