On March 13th, a video clip appeared on social media showing a young boy holding a stack of lottery tickets, appearing frightened and backing away as a woman approached him and loudly threatened him.

The owner of the clip, Ms. NT, said the incident happened a few days ago in an alley on Duong Ba Trac Street (District 8, Ho Chi Minh City).

The boy appeared frightened when the woman threatened and forced him to sell lottery tickets (Image taken from the clip: Provided by the subject).

Ms. T. stated that the incident occurred around 12 noon. She and her staff heard loud shouting outside, so they went to investigate.

At that moment, Ms. T. saw a young boy (about 4 years old) standing in the sun, holding a stack of lottery tickets in his hand, nervously moving forward and then backing away, his face showing fear.

In the video, the woman approaches the boy, waving her arms and repeatedly threatening him, causing him to quickly back away: "If your lottery ticket is still untouched by this afternoon, you'll see what I'll do! If you just stand there and refuse to come in (to invite customers to buy tickets), you'll get slapped. I'll tear up your ticket and beat you up, then I'll leave."

Seeing that the boy was still frightened and didn't dare go into the bubble tea shop to sell lottery tickets, the woman repeatedly threatened him: "Now give me the stack of lottery tickets, and don't you dare curse me to have unsold stock. I'll punch you in the stomach right now, do you believe me?"

Hearing this, the boy covered his stomach with his hand, returned the stack of lottery tickets, and left with the woman.

Witnessing the incident, Ms. T. recorded it on her phone and posted it on social media. She said that the boy and the woman in question usually sell lottery tickets in alley 109 Duong Ba Trac (Ward 1, District 8). This is not the first time the boy selling lottery tickets has been threatened and forced into shops in this alley to solicit customers.

The clip attracted hundreds of thousands of views and hundreds of interactions. Many social media accounts expressed outrage towards the woman in the clip. Numerous people also questioned the relationship between the woman and the boy.
