On January 18th, Dr. Le Anh Tuan, Head of the General Planning Department at People's Hospital 115, stated that patient LHTN was transferred from Cao Kim Beauty Clinic (69A, 3rd of February Street, Ward 11, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City) to the hospital in a lethargic state and suffering from severe respiratory failure.
"Recognizing the patient's critical condition, the on-call team quickly implemented emergency measures, using vasopressors to support blood pressure and transferring him to intensive care. The patient suffered from multiple organ failure and respiratory failure, requiring mechanical ventilation, vital signs monitoring, fluid replacement, and daily hemodialysis," Dr. Tuan shared.
The patient's vital signs have improved, but they still require mechanical ventilation via endotracheal tube and hemodialysis.
The patient is currently being treated in the Intensive Care and Toxicology Unit.
According to Doctor Tuan, upon taking the patient's medical history, the beauty salon staff reported that approximately 45 minutes after the first anesthesia application, the patient experienced symptoms of vomiting and muscle stiffness. The beauty salon administered Adrenaline and then called the 115 emergency center.
Mr. LHQ (a relative of Ms. H.) said that on the afternoon of January 13th, he received a call from his sister's phone number, but it was someone else reporting that his sister was in the emergency room.
"Through text messages from my sister's phone and information exchanged with the beauty salon staff, I learned that she went to the beauty salon for a skin treatment to treat acne, and while under anesthesia, she vomited and felt dizzy. My family and I never expected that a skin treatment would lead to such serious complications," Mr. Q said.
According to Doctor Anh Tuan, women's desire for beauty treatments at the end of the year is perfectly legitimate. However, it is necessary to choose a reputable beauty clinic that meets legal requirements, has qualified professionals, and can promptly handle any complications that may arise at any time.
