From around 8pm on December 7, the social network Threads shared a link to update cases of duplicate foster codes. According to the statistics table in this link, the number of duplicate foster code cases is up to nearly 40, with each code having 2-3 duplicate people.
However, in the latest post on his personal page, the founder of the project Raising Children Hoang Hoa Trung affirmed that before December 6, there had never been a case of two sponsors raising the same child.
He said the project is looking at specific cases to give the most accurate and complete answer for each individual case.
The project will back up all data about foster siblings and detailed information about the corresponding foster child for comparison at three official locations including: the Fostering Project, the Board of Directors; teachers at the school and the police agency; and competent local authorities.
Any benefactor participating in the project can contact the Nuoi Em project or its storage partners (schools, local authorities) to check and cross-check information about the children they are supporting, with a mechanism to ensure compliance with regulations on personal information security and privacy.
At 10 p.m. the same day, the founder of the Nuoi Em project said that on Monday (December 8), he would work with Vietcombank to freeze account 0491001764766. The expected freezing time is 15 days.
The freezing of the account coincides with the suspension of food payments to the project's students.
Hoang Hoa Trung said he had received many questions from the community regarding the transparency of the project's revenue and expenditure, leading to "myself doubting whether I could guarantee to do it 100% correctly or not."
He wishes to work with an independent auditor to objectively examine the revenue and expenditure transactions of the Nuoi Em project.
A few hours ago, rapper Den Vau spoke up, clarifying the relationship between him and the Nuoi Em project.
The male rapper affirmed that he and his team participated in Nuoi Em as supporters, like other benefactors. He is not the founder, does not participate in the management, operation or decide on the use of the Nuoi Em project's budget.
Every year, Den Vau and his team still send money to take care of meals for the children in the highlands under the project. This is a personal expense, outside of the revenue from the song Cooking for Children.
Den Vau also explained that all revenue from the above song is for charity, but not just the Nuoi Em project but also for other programs.
The male singer hopes that the online community will not rush to conclusions, but should calm down and wait for a clear and transparent answer from the Nuoi Em team.
"If any violations are concluded by the authorities, Den will support handling them to the end to protect the interests of the benefactors and most importantly, the interests of the children," the male rapper wrote.
Responding to Dan Tri reporter, Hoang Hoa Trung said that the project is raising about 50,000-60,000 ethnic minority students nationwide. These difficult students are listed by the school and local authorities.
Previously, Nuoi Em sent money to support students through the local education and training department. Since the district level was abolished, Nuoi Em transfers money directly to the school.
