According to data from the SocialTrend platform, from August 1 to August 20, the topic of National Day, September 2, attracted more than 1.47 million discussions and 8.23 million interactions, becoming the top 1 hottest topic on social networks in recent days.
Regarding shopping, besides traditional products such as red flag with yellow star shirts, national flags or banners, accessories such as scarves printed with national flag motifs, teddy bears wearing flag shirts, lightsticks, hair ties and patriotic bracelets are also of interest to consumers.
According to a report by the Metric.vn data aggregation and mining platform on fashion products and accessories related to National Day September 2, from July 23 to August 23, total sales of fashion products and accessories related to the holiday on Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop and Tiki reached 13.5 billion VND, with 198,100 products sold.
Compared to the same period in 2024, sales increased by 6,089% and output increased by 5,115%. Products in the 100,000-200,000 VND price segment contributed the most, with revenue from 2.5 to 3.3 billion VND, mainly on Shopee.
Hanoi leads in sales, accounting for 60.5% of the total market share. This figure is easy to explain because the main activities of the festival take place in the capital, leading to a much higher demand for "dressing up" to attend the event than in other areas. This fact shows that geographical factors and event organization context have a direct impact on consumer behavior.

According to statistics from the EcomHeat platform, in just the first 2 weeks of August, from August 3 to August 16, more than 27,000 patriotic fashion products such as T-shirts, baby clothes... were sold on the TikTok Shop platform, bringing in 2.2 billion VND in revenue.
Regarding accessories, statistics show that 30,800 products were sold, helping stores earn 2.1 billion VND in revenue. In particular, patriotic scarves accounted for 86.6% of total revenue in the accessory group. Lightsticks (5.7%), patriotic teddy bears (3.8%), hair ties (3.2%) and patriotic bracelets (0.7%)... are the statistics.

Not only on e-commerce platforms, but also in many stores in Hanoi, it is not difficult to see stalls selling products bearing the country’s cultural imprint, such as T-shirts printed with the national flag, the word “Vietnam”, conical hats or flag-shaped shirt pins. These products not only recorded a sharp increase in sales but also encouraged some individuals to start up their own businesses quickly in August, achieving positive sales results.
