Michael Douglas overcomes cancer

As he got older, Michael Douglas acted less and less, especially after he was diagnosed with stage 4 throat cancer in 2010.

"Stage 4 cancer is not the end, but there are not many options. I had chemotherapy and radiation. Some friends who had cancer at the same time were not so lucky... The surgery left me unable to speak, had to remove part of my jaw, and that limited my acting ability," he recounted the treatment he underwent on July 6.

After recovering, Michael Douglas appeared in the Marvel film series as Dr. Hank Pym in Ant-Man , Ant-Man and the Wasp , and Avengers: Endgame .
