Talking to Thanh Nien , director and Meritorious Artist Le Nguyen Dat said that People's Teacher Ha Quang Van passed away at 4:30 on November 4. When he received the news from his family, he was extremely saddened. To director Le Nguyen Dat, Mr. Ha Quang Van was both a teacher and a father figure in his career.
"I have been his student for 35 years, since he was a lecturer at the Faculty of Traditional Drama (formerly the Faculty of Cai Luong). He guided and taught me a lot. Before, when I was a student, I only wanted to be an artist, but perhaps he discovered my talent and encouraged me to study directing. Throughout my career, he has always been by my side in each play. When he taught, he also let me follow him as a teaching assistant, when he staged plays, he also let me follow him as an assistant director. He was the one who held my hand and guided me to grow up. When I made plays, he always went to watch them, commented, and gave me suggestions to help me improve. Later, although we did not meet often, we still kept in touch via phone and text messages. On September 6, I launched my book as well as the play Hon Tho Ngoc, he attended and was still very healthy. But today he has passed away...", he emotionally shared.

People's Teacher Ha Quang Van - a devoted teacher
Director Le Nguyen Dat said that, in addition to being an artist of the Southern Cai Luong Troupe, Mr. Ha Quang Van has contributed to training human resources for the future. The male director added: "After retiring, he was still devoted to his students, to professional activities, participating in seminars, discussions, plays, and being a judge in competitions. He was also the one who opened up the direction of cooperation, exchange, and training with international partners. He made a great contribution to the training and development of the Southern Cai Luong stage. His passing is a great loss to the generations of students he had mentored as well as to the art industry."
