This year, workers nationwide will have a four-day National Day holiday on September 2nd, from Saturday (August 31st) to Tuesday (September 3rd). Therefore, mobile network operators have been preparing well in advance to best serve the needs of mobile users during the 2024 September 2nd holiday.
To ensure secure communication and quality service for customers during the September 2nd holiday, VNPT Group has reviewed its entire communication system and is ready to expand and increase capacity to meet customer service needs during the holiday.
Regarding network capacity, VNPT has reviewed and improved network quality in areas predicted to have high concentrations of people, such as bus stations, resorts, and shopping centers. They have also implemented technical solutions to upgrade the configuration of 37 existing stations and deployed mobile broadcasting vehicles at 23 locations.
In particular, since the beginning of this year, VNPT has deployed an additional 4,000 BTS stations to improve service quality and be ready to meet the increased demand of customers during holidays.
All of VNPT's communication systems have been built up, ensuring redundancy and readiness with contingency plans to handle incidents quickly. VNPT has also deployed personnel on standby to handle any situations that may arise before, during, and after the holiday period.

Speaking with VietNamNet, a representative from Viettel stated that, in preparation for the National Day holiday on September 2nd, Viettel Networks has added 1,000 capacity enhancement solutions, including 50 new BTS stations, 20 mobile broadcasting vehicles, 60 additional "small cells," and 870 new "cells" (network cells).
Viettel Networks has completed the review, upgrade, and optimization of tools and software for monitoring and managing network operations, ensuring that the system load during holidays can handle twice the normal workload.
Accordingly, the Network Performance Management System (NPMS) has been upgraded to reduce incident response time to 15-30 minutes (compared to 45 minutes to 1 hour before optimization). Network management and monitoring systems such as GEO, ZDT, EBS, Datamon, and Csmon have all completed testing and optimization of the big data infrastructure, ensuring that less than 90% of computing and storage capacity is utilized, resulting in a more efficient and stable network operation.
Viettel has also proactively adjusted the technical parameters of its 2G/3G network and redistributed data traffic within its 4G network to prevent overload and maintain stable 4G network operation.
Compared to previous years, Viettel has actively deployed AI-powered coverage optimization tools (XO), resulting in a 10% improvement in coverage, a 5% improvement in speed, and approximately a 10% improvement in overall KPIs.

MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation announced that it has prepared technical plans and enhanced network quality to ensure stable and smooth network operation during the National Day holiday on September 2nd this year.
In key areas where festivals and large crowds take place, MobiFone has conducted surveys, completed measurement and testing, assessed coverage quality, installed additional mobile stations, increased coverage, and expanded resources for 4G stations to ensure customer needs.
All devices on the MobiFone network have been tested to ensure high backup configuration to avoid network failures, network capacity and domestic and international transmission directions, ready for increased customer demand compared to normal days.
MobiFone has optimized and automated its network operations using machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies. Simultaneously, the network operator has developed detailed plans, finalized operational schedules, and completed the allocation of personnel for emergency response, incident handling, and problem resolution.
