Replicate advanced examples, good models, and good practices in the patriotic emulation movement

(Chinhphu.vn) - On October 28, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front solemnly held the Patriotic Emulation Congress for the 2025 - 2030 period.

Attending the Congress were Mr. Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Central organizations, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vice Chairman of the Central Council for Emulation and Commendation; Vice Chairmen - General Secretaries, Permanent Deputy Heads of Agencies; Vice Chairmen of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front...

In particular, the Congress was attended by 200 representative delegates from departments and units representing nearly 600 cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the entire Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Promoting solidarity, intelligence and creativity in emulation movements

Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Vice President - General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thi Thu Ha affirmed that the Congress has important significance, a special milestone after the merger and arrangement of socio-political organizations under the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

The Congress aims to evaluate the results of the patriotic emulation movement in the 2020-2025 period; honor and commend typical advanced models, at the same time draw lessons, point out limitations and shortcomings; determine the direction and tasks of emulation and reward work of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the 2025-2030 period.

According to Vice President - General Secretary Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, in recent years, the patriotic emulation movement of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has been practically implemented and achieved many important results.

Officials, civil servants, public employees and workers have constantly made efforts and advised to promote propaganda and mobilization work, gather people from all walks of life, strengthen social consensus and promote the strength of national solidarity.

At the same time, improve the quality and effectiveness of social supervision and criticism, practice democracy, and actively participate in Party and State building. Encourage people of all walks of life to proactively participate in solving major social issues. Effectively carry out campaigns and patriotic emulation movements such as "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", "The whole country joins hands for the poor", "eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses", call on the business community and people of all walks of life at home and abroad to support thousands of billions of VND to overcome the consequences of storms and floods... improve the effectiveness of people's foreign affairs and work with overseas Vietnamese; at the same time, advise on continuing to innovate the organizational structure, content and methods of operation, and improve the capacity of the Front's staff at all levels.

Vice President - General Secretary Nguyen Thi Thu Ha affirmed that over the past 5 years, the emulation and reward work of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has had new developments.

The patriotic emulation movement is deployed in conjunction with the implementation of the agency's political tasks, closely following the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws and policies, promoting the strength of solidarity, intelligence, sense of responsibility and creativity of the team of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the agency.

The commendation work has become increasingly systematic, ensuring democracy, publicity, transparency, and timeliness, encouraging and honoring collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements, thereby contributing to creating new motivation and spirit, improving the effectiveness of performing tasks of the entire agency.

"The Patriotic Emulation Congress is an opportunity for us to recognize and evaluate the achievements and results that have been achieved, to commend and honor typical, advanced and exemplary collectives and individuals. At the same time, the Congress is also a forum for us to discuss and agree on goals, directions, tasks and solutions to organize emulation movements for the period 2025 - 2030 to improve the effectiveness of advising and organizing the implementation of political tasks of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front according to the new model, making an important contribution to the implementation of the noble mission of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the coming period", Vice President - General Secretary Nguyen Thi Thu Ha suggested.

After the reorganization, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has 19 affiliated units.

From July 1, 2025, the organization and operation of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front must comply with Decision No. 304-QD/TW dated June 10, 2025 of the Politburo on the functions and tasks of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Decision No. 251-QD/TW dated January 24, 2025 of the Politburo on the functions, tasks and organization of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and central mass organizations.

The Standing Committee and the Head of the agency have led and directed the departments and units to proactively and actively advise and assist the Committee, the Presidium, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Executive Committees and Standing Committees of socio-political organizations at the Central level to ensure the assigned functions and tasks. They have proactively researched and developed regulations and rules for the agency and unit, contributing to the effective operation of the apparatus according to the new model.

Although the initial implementation of the new apparatus still faced many difficulties and problems, after more than 2 months of implementation, the problems have been basically resolved. After the reorganization, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front consists of 19 affiliated units including: 9 advisory and general support departments and units; 3 public service units; 7 advisory and support departments of socio-political organizations.

Currently, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has 1,131 cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers, including 29 leaders of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at the Central level.

With a creative spirit, the staff of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has proposed many initiatives, experiences and effective methods, building typical operating models in mass mobilization work.

Emulation movements and campaigns launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front have received positive responses from the people, contributing to promoting socio -economic development and social security.

Over the past 5 years, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels have launched many practical emulation movements, suitable to local conditions, which have received the support and response of Party committees, authorities, member organizations and people of all walks of life.

The Standing Committee, the Head of the agency, the Emulation and Reward Council of the agency have issued leadership and direction documents on emulation and reward activities such as: Contents of emulation covenants, annual emulation registration documents, launching specialized emulation to achieve achievements to celebrate the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2021-2026 term; COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control work and support for the "COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control fund"; the movement "Cadres, civil servants and public employees compete to practice office culture" associated with the implementation of Directive No. 05 of the Politburo "On promoting studying and following the ideology, morality and lifestyle of Ho Chi Minh".

Along with that, propaganda and dissemination to raise awareness of party members, cadres, civil servants and workers about the importance of implementing office culture are carried out regularly and continuously.

Officials, civil servants, public employees and workers at the agency have promoted a sense of responsibility, strictly followed discipline and administrative rules; had a receptive and exemplary working attitude in communication and behavior; regularly cultivated and trained ethics and lifestyle; continued to promote the emulation movement, striving to successfully carry out assigned tasks; the emulation movement was launched by the Standing Committee and the Agency of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Accordingly, the departments and units under the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front always focus on building the movement of "Solidarity, creativity, responsibility, efficiency"; maintaining the standards of "Respecting the people - being close to the people - learning from the people - being responsible to the people". Promoting administrative reform, applying IT and digital transformation in performing professional tasks; studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.

Typically, in 2025, the Social Work Department launched a special emulation campaign among civil servants and Party members of the Department with the theme: "Solidarity, steadfastness, success" for 3 months from August 20 to November 10, 2025, implementing civilized offices, green and creative working rooms.

Many groups and individuals have initiatives to improve work; models such as "Friday of learning and sharing", "Green, clean, beautiful office" such as the Propaganda Department and the People's Foreign Affairs Department.

The commendation work has focused on commending truly outstanding individuals in various fields, good people and good deeds, advanced examples, and new models in the Agency and the entire Vietnam Fatherland Front system.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels have focused on using forms of commendation within their authority to reward and encourage those with achievements, and at the same time paid more attention to rewarding those with outstanding achievements in emulation movements launched by all levels and sectors.

Over the past 5 years, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has consulted, reviewed, approved and proposed the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Government and the President to award 103 high-ranking medals of various types, 235 Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister, and 52 Emulation Flags to 155 collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements.

At the same time, 19,616 "For the cause of great national unity" medals were awarded, 163 emulation flags, and 11,095 certificates of merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to nearly 54,000 collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in Front work, emulation movements, and many contributions to the community.

The work of propagating, praising and replicating advanced examples, good models, good experiences and effective methods has contributed to motivating people of all walks of life to enthusiastically compete to effectively implement the economic and social development programs of the country and agencies and units.
