Recently, many shrimp seed production facilities in the province have continuously expanded their scale, invested in modern equipment, and applied science and technology to maintain the reputation and brand of Binh Thuan shrimp seeds. Many large companies have applied technology to diagnose aquatic diseases using the RT-PCR method, technology to treat input water for production, technology to cultivate fresh algae as food for shrimp larvae, technology to raise and reduce water temperature in shrimp larval rearing to improve productivity and quality of shrimp seeds. Thanks to that, Binh Thuan shrimp seed production and consumption is over 25 billion/year.
In addition, in 2023, the Department of Livestock and Veterinary Medicine of Binh Thuan deployed quarantine monitoring for 72,240/82 batches of imported white-leg shrimp parents.
