Kinhtedothi - On October 31, the Propaganda Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee held a seminar on "Solutions to implement Regulation No. 144-QD/TW of the Politburo on revolutionary ethical standards of cadres and party members in the new period at the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee".
Building ethical standards must be close to the reality of the unit.
Co-chairs of the discussion included comrades: Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee's Propaganda Department Le Hong Son, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee's Organization Department Huynh Cach Mang, Deputy Head of the Inspection Committee (UBKT) of the Ho Nam City Party Committee; representatives of the Propaganda Department of 21 districts, Thu Duc City; Departments, branches, universities, corporations... with 52 presentations.
Implement Regulation 144-QD/TW dated May 9, 2024 of the Politburo on revolutionary ethical standards of cadres and party members in the new period (Regulation 144-QD/TW). Based on the directive documents of the City Party Committee, the Propaganda Department of the Binh Thanh District Party Committee advises the District Party Committee to direct Party committees at all levels, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district, socio-political organizations of the district; ward Party committees; neighborhood party cells, schools, police, military in the district... to develop and organize the implementation of Regulation 144-QD/TW in accordance with the characteristics of grassroots party organizations, combating manifestations of bureaucracy, arrogance and abuse of people; building awareness of living and working according to the law among party members, cadres, and civil servants; paying attention to and caring for people's lives, building a spirit of solidarity, village love, etc.
Through the implementation of Regulation 144-QD/TW, there are also difficulties and limitations: there are still some cadres and party members who do not fully understand the importance of building ethical and style standards, so they are not bold enough to contribute ideas to build standards for party cells and units...
Take implementation as the annual evaluation criterion
Delegates also listened to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Huu Huy - Head of Propaganda Department of the Party Committee of the Border Guard of Ho Chi Minh City present a speech on "Solidarity, discipline, love, responsibility".
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Huu Huy said that since 2012, the City Border Guard Party Committee has issued Decision 28-QD/ĐUBP on "Ethical standards of officers and party members of the City Border Guard according to Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style", and 100% of officers and party members have seriously implemented it. To continue implementing Regulation 144-QD/TW, the City Border Guard Party Committee has proposed many solutions and mobilized "Promoting tradition, dedicating talent, worthy of being Uncle Ho's soldiers" throughout the army and Resolution 847-NQ/QUTW dated December 28, 2021 of the Central Military Commission on promoting the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers".
Patriotic, absolutely loyal to the Party and the Fatherland
At the seminar, the Party Cell of the Organization-Personnel-Inspection-Legal-Intellectual Property Department under the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City presented a paper on "A set of criteria and standards of revolutionary ethics for school cadres and party members".
The school's Party Committee has 574 party members in 33 party cells. Implementing Regulation 144-QD/TW, based on the actual situation, the school proposed a set of criteria including 8 contents: patriotism, absolute loyalty to the Party and the Fatherland; steadfast political will; integrity, honesty and purity; sense of responsibility and exemplary; respect and listen to the opinions of the masses; promote the spirit of solidarity and mutual assistance; constantly study and improve qualifications; spirit of creativity and innovation in work.
Speaking at the conclusion of the discussion, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Propaganda Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Le Hong Son said that due to limited time, the Organizing Committee accepted the proposals and contributions of the units.
Mr. Le Hong Son suggested that districts, towns and Thu Duc City focus on building standards for the image of party committees and party members associated with the criteria of typical features, dynamism, creativity, humanity and affection of city citizens associated with building Ho Chi Minh cultural space.
School Party cells should build ethical standards associated with professional standards. For police and military Party cells, follow Uncle Ho's teachings: "Loyalty to the country, filial piety to the people" associated with standards of discipline, love, and responsibility; resolutely fight against negative manifestations and all types of crimes. As for Party cells in the non-state sector, build ethical standards associated with production, business, and corporate culture, living and working according to the Constitution and the law," Mr. Le Hong Son suggested.
