On the morning of May 3, a large number of monks, nuns, Buddhists and people from Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces were present at Thanh Tam Pagoda (also known as Phat Co Don Pagoda, Le Minh Xuan Commune, Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City) to wait to worship Buddha's relics, which will be enshrined here from May 3 to 8, on the occasion of the United Nations Day of Vesak 2025.

Since 7am, many people have come to the Vietnam Buddhist Academy area in Ho Chi Minh City, waiting to worship Buddha's relics.
Volunteers guide people in line in front of the Academy.
Long lines of people lined up from the gate and inside Thanh Tam Pagoda.

The organizers have built many waiting houses for locals and tourists to come and worship.
Inside the waiting area, Buddhists sat orderly and solemnly.
When it is their turn, monks, nuns and Buddhists will be guided inside to worship the Buddha's relics.
This is the first time that Buddha relics from India have been invited and enshrined in Vietnam – an important historical milestone, not only having profound religious significance but also a vivid symbol of the traditional friendship between Vietnam and India.

As noon approached, the line of people waiting to worship Buddha's relics grew longer and longer.
