During the 2025 admission consultation day held at the University of Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University), many candidates expressed interest in new majors announced by universities.
Candidates are particularly interested in fields with potential for development in the digital age and closely linked to the practical needs of the labor market.

At the consulting booth of Ton Duc Thang University, Nguyen Quoc Anh (residing in Tan Binh ward, Ho Chi Minh City) paid special attention to new engineering majors, including Semiconductor Design Engineering.
This is the first major that the school will enroll students in 2025, in the field of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering. “I know that this is a major with great potential in the future, so I tried to learn about the training programs at some schools,” Quoc Anh shared.

This is a major in Electrical Engineering, which has been taught for a long time, but 2025 is the first time the program is taught entirely in English.

Associate Professor Dr. Bui Hoai Thang, Head of the School's Training Department, said: "The Renewable Energy Program not only focuses on the electricity sector but is also interdisciplinary, combining with related industries and solving clean energy problems. This is a highly applicable field of study, in line with the current trend of sustainable development."
According to Mr. Thang, this field of study not only opens up great career prospects but also meets the demand for high-quality human resources in the green energy sector.
This year, the University of Technology has a number of new majors and majors: Business Administration, Microchip Design, Digital Biotechnology (major of Biotechnology), Digital Business (major of Business Administration), Circular Economy (major of Natural Resource Economics).
