December 3rd was the third day of school for students and teachers of Nghi An Secondary School (Vinh Phu Ward, Nghe An Province) who moved to the second campus after a long period of abandonment. The joyful and excited atmosphere filled the schoolyard. From early morning, students of all grades were present, entering the clean, spacious and modernly equipped classrooms.
Many students expressed their joy at studying in a brand new, spacious school for the first time. “I really like the new school, it has a big screen, new desks and chairs and is more airy. Before, my class was quite cramped,” a 7th grade student happily said.

Previously, Tien Phong newspaper published an article “Newly built school abandoned, teachers and students crowded in dilapidated classrooms”, reflecting the paradoxical situation at Nghi An Secondary School: campus 1 is dilapidated, overloaded, classrooms are too small, forcing students to study together, while campus 2, which invested nearly 25 billion VND, is closed and unused for more than a year, causing waste.
Immediately after the press reported, Vinh Phu Ward People's Committee stepped in to inspect and work with the school's Board of Directors to overcome problems, review all facilities, survey classroom needs and find a plan to put the new facility into use.

To facilitate teaching and learning at the second facility, the local government has proactively allocated funds to purchase facilities for 5 classrooms, each equipped with 1 computer, 1 television and minimum teaching equipment. In addition, the ward has also fully equipped the administrative offices, helping teachers and school staff to work stably as soon as they move to the new facility.
Repair and clean the road leading to the school, ensuring traffic safety for students, parents and teachers. Thanks to careful preparation, the school's second campus officially opened to welcome students on December 1st.
At the new facility, classrooms are equipped with computer systems, large screens, lighting systems, fans and full teaching aids. The school grounds have been cleaned, the roads leading to the school are clear, ensuring traffic safety for students when moving. In particular, the school health room is arranged separately, equipped with medicine cabinets, hospital beds and first aid tools, etc. to ensure the health of students throughout the learning process.

Ms. Le Viet Hong, Principal of Nghi An Secondary School, said that the school currently arranges for grade 7 students to study music , fine arts, local education and intensive English at the second campus. Grade 8 and 9 students will also study intensive English here. The timetable is adjusted appropriately to ensure that teachers and students do not have to move between the two campuses in the same session.
“We aim to reduce the load on the overloaded facility 1, while making the most of modern equipment at facility 2, meeting the requirements of educational innovation, contributing to improving the quality of teaching and learning. Teaching and learning activities have initially gone smoothly, with support from parents,” Ms. Hong shared.

A representative of Vinh Phu Ward People's Committee said that in the coming time, they will continue to propose expanding the road leading to the school, installing more signs and speed bumps to ensure traffic safety, especially during rush hour.
