TPO - This Saturday night to Sunday morning, many areas in Ho Chi Minh City will experience water outages or weak water pressure while the Saigon Water Supply Corporation carries out routine maintenance and repairs.
Saigon Water Corporation (SAWACO) has announced that it will temporarily suspend raw water pumping at the Hoa Phu pumping station and the Tan Hiep water treatment plant's clean water pumping station for scheduled maintenance and repairs.
Accordingly, from 10 PM on March 16th (Saturday) to 4 AM on March 17th (Sunday), many areas will experience water outages or weak water pressure.

Areas affected by water outage include District 8 (wards 7, 13, 15); and Binh Chanh District (Tan Tuc town, Tan Kien commune).
Areas with weak water pressure include: District 6 (wards 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14); District 8 (wards 6, 14, 16); District 12 (wards Tan Thoi Nhat, Tan Hung Thuan, Dong Hung Thuan, Trung My Tay, Tan Chanh Hiep, Tan Thoi Hiep, Hiep Thanh, Thoi An, Thanh Xuan); Go Vap District (wards 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16); Tan Phu District (wards Tay Thanh, Son Ky, Tan Son Nhi, Tan Quy, Tan Thanh, Phu Tho Hoa, Phu Thanh, Hoa Thanh, Hiep Tan, Tan Thoi Hoa).
Weak water pressure is also occurring in Tan Binh district (wards 12, 13, 14, 15); the entire Binh Tan district; the entire Hoc Mon district; and Binh Chanh district (Vinh Loc A, Vinh Loc B, Pham Van Hai, Binh Loi, Le Minh Xuan, Tan Nhut, Binh Chanh, An Phu Tay, Tan Quy Tay, Phong Phu, and Binh Hung communes).
According to SAWACO, due to the specific conditions of the water supply region, the water recovery time in some areas far from the source will be slower than the main timeline.
SAWACO will direct its units to regulate the water supply network to minimize water disruptions in affected areas. At the same time, the unit will increase water supply to key locations using tanker trucks.
