Many Northern universities announce minimum admission scores

On the morning of July 18, the University of Technology (UET), Vietnam National University , Hanoi announced the threshold for ensuring input quality in 2025 (floor score). The school accepts applications from 24 points for majors in the computer and information technology group, and 22 points for the remaining majors.

In 2025, the school will enroll 4,020 full-time university students, an increase of 1,060 students compared to last year with 4 methods, including unlimited direct admission; considering high school graduation exam scores; considering Hanoi National University's (HSA) competency assessment test scores; considering the results of the international standardized test SAT.

For the high school graduation exam scores, the school considers two new combinations with computer science subjects, including X26 (math, English, IT), X06 (math, physics, IT).

In addition, consider 4 similar combinations from last year, including A00 (math, physics, chemistry); A01 (math, physics, English); B00 (math, chemistry, biology) - for agricultural technology, biotechnology; D01 (math coefficient 2, literature, English).

The University of Technology expects tuition fees for 2025-2026 for 20 majors/training programs to range from 34-40 million VND/year, with most majors/training programs having stable tuition fees compared to last year.

Last year, the admission score based on high school graduation exam scores ranged from 22.5 to 27.8 points, with information technology having the highest score and agricultural technology having the lowest score.

Enrollment target of University of Technology in 2025:

On the same day, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) also announced the minimum admission score for 2025. With the method of considering high school graduation exam scores, the minimum admission score for technical majors is 19.5/30; for economic , education, and foreign language majors is 19 points.

Similarly, in the method of considering the 100-point thinking assessment test score, the floor scores are 46.95 and 46.48 respectively; with the talent selection method, the floor scores for groups of majors are from 55/100 points.

Last year, the admission score based on the high school graduation exam score to Hanoi University of Science and Technology ranged from 21 to 28.53 points.

This year, the Vietnam Women's Academy will enroll 2,100 students for 12 training programs with 5 admission methods. The Academy expects the minimum score to receive applications to be 15 points.

According to the academy representative, this year's benchmark score may change by 1-3 points, depending on the major, combination, and admission method compared to 2024.

Specifically, the admission scores for majors with math and English are expected to decrease by 1-3 points; the admission score for C00 combination is expected to be equivalent to the 2024 admission score for hot majors, or decrease by 1-2 points for the remaining majors.
