The band Secret Garden, famous worldwide for their "healing" songs like "You Raise Me Up" and "Nocturne," will perform in Vietnam as part of the international music project for the community , "Good Morning Vietnam."
On September 19th, Nhan Dan Newspaper and IB Group Vietnam officially announced this program.
Mr. Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association , and Head of the Program Steering Committee, affirmed that this is not only an opportunity for the Vietnamese public to enjoy world-class music, but also a chance to spread cultural and humanistic values and the spirit of solidarity through music.
With this event, Nhan Dan Newspaper and IB Group Vietnam reaffirm their commitment to continuing their mission of bringing world art closer to Vietnamese audiences, while also contributing to community support through meaningful charitable activities.

Following the concert, the Organizing Committee will continue to implement activities to promote Vietnamese tourism, introducing the cultural and natural beauty of the country to international audiences, thereby contributing to enhancing Vietnam's image on the global cultural map.
According to General Director Pham Hoang Nam, a common point among the artists appearing in the "Good Morning Vietnam" project is that they all bring instrumental music. Instrumental music, by its very nature, stimulates the audience's imagination.
“Even the name Secret Garden itself is incredibly evocative. We will present a special stage, taking the audience into a secret garden through music and light. The stage will be very soft, romantic, and sensual. I believe this will be one of the most beautiful stages of Secret Garden,” the director shared.
Another notable aspect is that the organizers provided the best and most modern sound and lighting equipment for the concert.
According to IB Group President Nguyen Thuy Duong, the organizers imported a state-of-the-art sound system, one of the best in the world, previously used by world-renowned artists and bands such as Black Pink, Taylor Swift, and Coldplay. Even Secret Garden was surprised that the concert was equipped with such a modern sound system.

Accordingly, nearly 30 works will be performed by the band Secret Garden, divided into three themes: Nature and beautiful scenery; relationships with people; and culture.
Secret Garden is an Irish and Norwegian musical duo consisting of Rolf Løvland (composer, pianist) and Fionnuala Sherry (violinist). The group gained global recognition after winning the prestigious Eurovision Song Contest in 1995 with their song "Nocturne" —a nearly instrumental piece that captivated audiences with its chamber music depth and expressive performance, showcasing their distinctive lyrical-classical-New Age musical style. This victory paved the way for the duo to become leading figures in the classical crossover genre.
The debut album “Songs from a Secret Garden” (1996) quickly gained popularity, achieving platinum status in Norway and South Korea, and topping the Billboard New Age chart for 101 weeks. Many tracks from the album have found their way into East Asian culture and art house cinema – for example, “Adagio,” featured in Wong Kar-wai’s “2046,” demonstrates the widespread appeal of chamber music aesthetics beyond the traditional concert hall. In 2025, the album was reissued to celebrate its 30th anniversary, reaffirming the relevance of Secret Garden’s sonic legacy to a new audience.

Secret Garden's "You Raise Me Up" (music: Rolf Løvland, lyrics: Brendan Graham) became an inspirational song, recorded by over 100 artists – from Josh Groban to Westlife – and entered popular culture as an "emotional chorus" at graduations, celebrations, or moments needing upliftment. Westlife's version topped the UK Singles Chart (2005), turning a melody originating from a chamber music project into a cultural phenomenon – a prime example of the ability to bridge the gap between chamber music and pop.
“Secret Garden Live in Vietnam,” taking place at 7:30 PM on October 18th at the National Convention Center, My Dinh, promises to be a night of music filled with various emotions on the stage of Hanoi.
Launched in 2023, “Good Morning Vietnam” is an annual international music project for the community, initiated and organized with the mission of bringing world-class music to Vietnam while spreading the cultural and historical values of beautiful Vietnam to the world. The two previous events, “Kenny G Live in Vietnam” (November 2023), kicked off the series, and “Bond Live in Vietnam” (October 2024), with all ticket sales going to charity.
