Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung has just signed a Decision announcing eight more National Intangible Cultural Heritage sites.

Among them, Ninh Binh has two heritage sites inscribed this time: the traditional embroidery and lace-making craft of Ninh Hai (Ninh Hai commune, Hoa Lu district) and the social customs and beliefs of Mo Muong.

Thus, as of now, Ninh Binh possesses 6 National Intangible Cultural Heritage sites. The 4 previously recognized heritage sites are: Hoa Lu Festival, Xam singing art, Binh Hai village festival, and Ninh Van stone carving craft.

According to the Decisions, the Chairpersons of the People's Committees at all levels in localities where intangible cultural heritage is included in the List shall, within their duties and powers, exercise state management in accordance with the law on cultural heritage.
