Ninh Phuoc: Promoting trade and service development

In recent years, Ninh Phuoc district has implemented many synchronous solutions to exploit existing potentials and strengths and attract investment to develop trade and services in the district, in order to promote local socio- economic development.

To develop trade and services, Ninh Phuoc district has focused resources on investing, upgrading and developing infrastructure, creating favorable conditions for economic sectors to participate, in which priority is given to enterprises investing and participating in business activities in the area; promoting administrative reform, quickly resolving procedures for granting business licenses, loans... creating conditions for enterprises, production establishments, business households, attracting investors; prioritizing the construction and upgrading of market systems in localities, in order to facilitate trade, sale, exchange of goods, serving people's needs. At the same time, the district focuses on developing goods distribution channels such as: Markets, shops, stores...; encouraging and creating favorable conditions for enterprises and business households to participate in trade, investment and expansion of business lines to meet people's consumption needs.

Currently, in Ninh Phuoc district, there are 32 markets of all kinds spread across communes and towns, contributing to the retail function, general goods trading and operating effectively in accordance with the conditions of each locality, meeting the needs of exchanging goods in residential areas. Along with that, the whole district also has over 7,284 enterprises and business households with the circulation of goods of enterprises and businesses increasing in the retail system of goods. In addition, the district also focuses on promoting models of agents, stores, shops, convenience store systems... in residential areas, increasing in quantity and scale of operations. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hue, Ward 4, Phuoc Dan town said: Trading activities have developed, people's lives have improved, shopping needs have increased, so my family has opened a grocery store to sell essential goods to serve people's needs. Up to now, the store has had a full range of products to serve the daily needs of the people. The products are always selected by the family from reputable distributors, giving priority to using quality products made in Vietnam.

Along with the development of the trade and service system, the district has also strengthened trade promotion activities, regularly mobilized, encouraged, and created conditions for enterprises, cooperatives, production and business establishments in the area to participate in trade fairs inside and outside the province, and promoted propaganda, promotion, and introduction of potential products and strengths of the district. Mr. Phu Huu Minh Thuan, Director of Bau Truc Pottery Cooperative, said: In order for more people and tourists inside and outside the province to know about Cham ceramic products, the Cooperative has actively communicated, participated in trade programs, promoted, and displayed and introduced products to provinces and cities across the country through promotional activities. Thanks to that, Cham ceramic products of the Cooperative are increasingly reaching more and more people inside and outside the province.

Thanks to the effective and synchronous implementation of solutions, in recent years, the trade and service sector has increasingly developed, creating a strong shift in the labor structure, contributing to improving people's lives. The new rural appearance of the district is changing clearly, business, production and service stores are expanding, trading and exchange of goods are taking place bustlingly. In 2023, the value of trade and services reached over 3,237 billion VND, an increase of 14.15% compared to 2022.

Comrade Ngo Khanh, Vice Chairman of Ninh Phuoc District People's Committee said: In the coming time, Ninh Phuoc district will continue to mobilize all resources to invest in building traffic infrastructure, creating favorable conditions for the development of goods trading; review the planning of the market system in the area to have plans to renovate, upgrade, and invest in construction suitable to the actual conditions in the locality. Focus on attracting units and enterprises to participate in production investment in the area to promote the development of trade and service activities. Focus on attracting resources to invest in upgrading trade and service infrastructure in the area; prioritize the construction of essential items such as class II markets; invest in infrastructure, diversify tourism products; effectively implement community tourism models. At the same time, encourage enterprises, production and business establishments to develop a distribution network of goods to localities; focus on retail systems in localities; create conditions for enterprises and business households to expand production and business development. Focus on developing trade and service types associated with developing specific products of the district and enterprises as well as promoting business types.
