Efforts for the goal of housing for the poor

Implementing the direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, the District Party Committee, and the People's Committee of Krong Bong district have issued documents directing, implementing, and proposing a plan to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the district in 2025. At the same time, establishing a Steering Committee to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the district, communes, and towns and assigning specific tasks and areas to each member, department, branch, and organization.

The locality actively promoted propaganda and mobilized people and organized a launching ceremony for the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the district by 2025". At the launching ceremony, each cadre, civil servant, public employee, armed force, and worker donated one day's salary and mobilized agencies and enterprises to donate more than 400 million VND. This amount was transferred by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district to the Provincial Fund for the Poor Mobilization Committee to implement the program.

Krong Bong district organized a launching ceremony to simultaneously start the demolition of temporary and dilapidated houses in the district in Ea Trul commune.

Along with that, the district launched a simultaneous campaign to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the district, striving to complete the goal of eliminating 100% of temporary and dilapidated houses in October 2025. During the implementation process, the district requested communes and towns to ensure the correct subjects, standards, and norms, no overlap between programs, and no omission of subjects according to regulations.

Ms. Ha Thi Huyen, Deputy Head of the District Department of Agriculture and Environment, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee for the implementation of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in Krong Bong district, said that the locality has implemented support for building new houses for 568 households and repairing houses for 56 households under the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025 in the district.

Up to now, the district has completed 100% of houses in need of repair and 69% of houses in need of new construction; is implementing construction and repair of houses for 19 households of people with revolutionary contributions; building new houses for 75 ethnic minority households under the National Target Program on socio -economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.

During the implementation process, the Program Steering Committee regularly inspected and grasped the actual situation; promptly directed communes and towns to closely coordinate with relevant units, mobilize all local resources to speed up the progress of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses effectively according to the set plan.

As the first commune in the district to start the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, in the first phase, Ea Trul commune was supported to build 44 new houses, of which 21 houses were handed over to households for use, and currently 23 houses have been completed 70% of the volume.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Nga, Vice Chairwoman of Ea Trul Commune People's Committee, shared that during the implementation process, the locality always followed the regulations on size, design, and structure. At the same time, it still created conditions for households who need to raise the house foundation, tile the floor, make ceilings, auxiliary works... if they are able to buy materials for construction themselves.

In order to create favorable conditions to support housing for the poor and households without land to build houses, the locality has actively encouraged families and relatives to share land. In case the family agrees to give land but due to problems with the land use right certificate, the locality will guide and support the necessary procedures to implement.

Thanks to the strong direction of the local government, the program implementation process was quite favorable. Thereby, contributing to realizing the dream of settling down, bringing joy to the poor and ethnic minorities in the area.

Krong Bong district is one of the localities that is highly appreciated in implementing the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses. With the determination of the entire political system, the consensus and response of the people, the locality is actively speeding up the progress to successfully complete the proposed plan.

Along with completing the repair and construction of registered houses, Krong Bong district has conducted a review and found 197 more households in need of support to remove temporary houses. The district People's Committee has prepared a report to request the Provincial People's Committee to direct and approve the implementation of housing construction support for these households in 2025.
