Quang Hai's son went to Brazil to study under a master.
On the morning of July 8th, the Ho Chi Minh City FC fanpage announced the names of 18 young players selected for a 3-year training program at Brazilian football giant Gremio FC, starting in August 2025. Among them is Nguyen Le Quang Khoi - the eldest son of former striker Quang Hai.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City FC fanpage, Quang Khoi, along with 15 other players who are members of the Juventus youth academy and two members of the Thong Nhat Sports Center, goalkeeper Nguyen Tan (2005) and midfielder Pham Nguyen Tuan Anh (2009), will "be trained at the elite academy of Gremio FC - developed according to top Brazilian standards and paving a clear path to the Vietnamese national team."
It is known that Nguyen Le Quang Khoi (2009) is one of the promising young strikers, showing his potential when he was called up to the Vietnam U.16 team, won a bronze medal at the 2025 National U.19 Championship, and a silver medal at the 2024 National U.15 Championship...

Expectations for the future
In addition, there are young talents from the Juventus academy who have been called up to the Vietnam U.16 team such as Pham Minh Quan (2008, midfielder), Nguyen Hong Quang (2008, defender, played for Vietnam U.17), Le Kha Duc (2007, defender, played for Vietnam U.19), Vo Tuan Phong (2006, midfielder, trained for Vietnam U.19), Truong Nhac Minh (2006, defender, played for Vietnam U.19), Hoa Xuan Tin (2008, goalkeeper, played for Vietnam U.17), Dau Quang Hung (2009, midfielder), Ho Le Nguyen Chuong (2009, goalkeeper)...
It's evident that the players from the Juventus academy, based in Ba Ria ward, Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Ba Ria - Vung Tau province), who won a silver medal at the national U.15 championship and a bronze medal at the national U.19 championship, have demonstrated their talent and potential. Many of them have been called up to the Vietnam U.16, U.17, and U.19 national teams.
If Quang Hai's son were to train at Gremio's elite academy – one of Brazil's largest and most traditional football clubs – he and his 17 teammates would have the opportunity to hone their skills and gain experience in competitive matches, making them stronger when they return home.
