Hai Phong Club Chairman Van Tran Hoan said that the Hai Phong City People's Committee has agreed to set off fireworks at Lach Tray Stadium as a way to support the Vietnamese women's team at the AFF Cup 2025.

The Vietnamese women's national team will watch the fireworks at Lach Tray.

Lach Tray Stadium in particular, and Hai Phong City in general, are proud to host the 2025 Southeast Asian Women's Football Championship (AFF Cup 2025), where the Vietnamese women's national team is in Group A with Cambodia, Timor Leste, and Thailand.

The final match of the tournament is scheduled to take place at 7:30 PM on August 19th at Lach Tray Stadium. Most recently, the Hai Phong City People's Committee has authorized the Hai Phong Football Joint Stock Company to organize a low-altitude fireworks display at approximately 9 PM on August 19th at Lach Tray Stadium.

The fireworks display will take place at one location, with a total of 120 Type 4 fireworks, 25 low-altitude fireworks displays, and pyrotechnic displays lasting no more than 10 minutes, carried out in accordance with the instructions of the Hai Phong City Military Command.

A special gift from Mr. Hoan

Reportedly, the entire cost of organizing the fireworks display will be covered by Hai Phong Football Joint Stock Company, as a way for Chairman Hoan to celebrate the champions and conclude the 2025 AFF Women's Cup.

Through this method, Hai Phong Club wants to convey a message of support to the Vietnamese women's national team. At this moment, coach Mai Duc Chung's players are temporarily leading Group A along with Thailand.

The Vietnamese women's team is expected to have an "early final" match against Thailand in the last round of Group A on August 9th, to compete for first place and gain an advantage in the semi-finals.

The opponents in the semi-finals for the representatives from Group A could include Australia, the Philippines, or Myanmar, who are prominent names in Group B.
