Sharing his ideas with VietNamNet reporters, artist Vuong Rau said: "This is a project I've been nurturing for many years, like a true game show, but with a different approach. I didn't expect great artists like People's Artist Thanh Hoa, People's Artist Trung Duc, People's Artist Thanh Ngoan, Associate Professor Pham Chi Thanh, singer Ho Quang 8… to enthusiastically accept the invitation to be judges."

Initially, some comedians were hesitant because singing wasn't their forte. But when the show aired a few trial episodes, the audience's reaction surprised even those involved. "Their singing wasn't necessarily great, but it was full of emotion. And what's special is that the audience responded enthusiastically, making the artists even more 'addicted' to the stage in a new way," shared comedian Vuong Rau.

Having filmed three episodes, the impressive judging panel and the participation of comedians such as Meritorious Artist Quang Tèo, Chiến Thắng, Dũng Nhí, Lệ Mỹ, Thanh Tú, Hoàng Yến, the artist couple Bảo Trung and Diệu Thắm… along with MCs Vượng Râu and Kim Huyền Sâm have created a truly entertaining atmosphere.

"We don't place too much emphasis on professional standards, but that doesn't mean we're lenient. The judges are very frank in their comments, pointing out the strengths and weaknesses of each performance. And it is this impartiality that creates the special appeal of the program," said artist Vuong Rau.

The grand finale of "When Comedians Sing Love Songs" is scheduled to take place in October. According to artist Vuong Rau, this is a seriously invested game show; although it's an online singing competition, the grand finale will be organized as an intimate entertainment event showcasing performances, awarding prizes, and connecting the audience and artists.

Although not highly competitive, the program still has a complete prize system: the winner will receive flowers and a prize of 20 million VND - a figure that is more symbolic and encouraging than commercial.

"We're not doing this to make money. This is a way for artists to have more opportunities to perform, for audiences to have relaxing moments, and for us – the organizers – to feel most strongly that our love for the stage has never diminished," Vuong Rau said.

Notably, performance clips from the show posted on social media also garnered a huge number of views, with some acts reaching hundreds of thousands, even millions of views. This shows that the demand for entertainment with both familiar and new content, seen through the lens of comedians, remains very high.
