Meritorious Artist Vu Xuan Trang opens a theater stage for young actors to practice their profession properly.

The Xom Kich stage of Meritorious Artist Vu Xuan Trang, true to its name, is small but cozy, united and sincere.

After more than 20 years in the profession, Meritorious Artist Vu Xuan Trang and his wife Hoang Thy decided to establish their own company and the Xom Kich theater, which has been operating for over a year.

According to Vu Xuan Trang, the stage is small in scale but warm, united, and sincere. He and his wife, as well as their students, are dedicated and strive to do their job meticulously with passion and professionalism.

"The stage is small but the equipment is good, and the play has been approved by the Department with a profound and humane script. The smaller the stage, the closer the actors and the audience are, and the less likely the actors are to fake or deceive," Meritorious Artist Vu Xuan Trang confided.

Meritorious Artist Vu Xuan Trang and his wife - artist Hoang Thy devoted a lot of effort to establishing the theater.

Since opening their theater, Meritorious Artist Vu Xuan Trang and his wife have devoted all their heart and soul to the Theater Village, not only in each performance but also in training. Despite having to work on films and voiceovers to cover the costs of running the theater and teaching for over a year, the artistic couple has never once lost heart.

For them, seeing their students grow day by day through each role and become colleagues is enough to satisfy them and reassure them that they are on the right path, as a way of showing gratitude to the patron saint of their profession.

Meritorious Artist Xuan Trang inspires the younger generation of actors.

Soon, the Xóm Kịch theater of Meritorious Artist Vũ Xuân Trang and Hoàng Thy will stage the psychological drama "Water Demon" . The play is directed by Meritorious Artist Vũ Xuân Trang. More than 90% of the music in the play was also composed and written by him, with the emotional singing of his wife, artist Hoàng Thy.

The cast of the play includes Nha Uyen, Thanh Phuong, Yen Thanh, Quynh Nhi, Thuy My, Quoc Huy... They are all students of Meritorious Artist Vu Xuan Trang and his wife Hoang Thy. Even more remarkably, the scriptwriters are also three students of this artistic couple.

When asked if it was risky to cast young, unknown actors in a ticketed play, Meritorious Artist Vu Xuan Trang expressed: "People are often hesitant to invite young actors because they think they lack experience, but if we don't give them the opportunity to play major roles, only giving them supporting roles, how can they gain experience?"

"Working with you young people might be more challenging than working with seasoned actors, but you have enthusiasm, youthful energy, passion, a thirst for learning, and a desire for self-improvement. I created this theater so that young people have the opportunity to play big roles, to practice their craft properly, and to receive a full salary like a professional actor."

The male artist wants the young generation of actors to be able to do their jobs properly.

The male artist said that his theater, Xóm Kịch, though small, still has its own audience. Most of them are people who have seen him and his wife perform before. When they learned that they both run a theater, the audience showed their affection and sought them out.

"The majority of the audience at the Xóm Kịch theater are adults, teachers, intellectuals, and very discerning theatergoers. It's not easy for the young actors to convince these audiences to come and stay, especially when they are the main actors and my wife and I are only supporting actors. Seeing our students achieve this makes my wife and I very proud," he said.

The Water Demon will be the first play that the Drama Village, as well as the teachers and students of Meritorious Artist Vu Xuan Trang, will perform on a large stage. The opening performance was almost sold out and was well-received by the audience.

The following performances on December 10, 16 and 23 will also continue to be released to serve the public's need to watch plays at the end of the year.
