Designers Vu Ngoc and Son organize a fashion show at an old library in Ho Chi Minh City.

(Dan Tri Newspaper) - Designer duo Vu Ngoc Tu and Dinh Truong Tung have attracted attention by announcing a fashion show at the Ho Chi Minh City General Science Library (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City).

This is the 15th solo show by the design duo. Previously, they have held fashion shows at famous locations associated with Vietnam's culture and history, such as the Hue Imperial Citadel, the Ho Chi Minh City Museum, the Ho Chi Minh City Post Office , Hoi An Ancient Town, and Saigon Railway Station.

This show, titled Happy Forever , will take place at the Ho Chi Minh City General Science Library on December 6th. According to the two designers, the Ho Chi Minh City General Science Library will be an impressive stage, offering many unexpected elements.

The couple shared that the team would only have 24 hours to transform the library space into a stage so as not to disrupt readers during the event.

Designer Vu Ngoc Tu said: "The Ho Chi Minh City General Science Library is considered one of the oldest libraries in Vietnam. The green color of this space makes me think a lot about human youth and the freshness of knowledge."

This collection features approximately 100 designs, predominantly in a refreshing green color, creating a youthful and optimistic feel. The garments, diverse in materials such as silk, brocade, and lace, are accentuated by sophisticated tailoring techniques.

"The vibrant green is both a beautiful color to start the new year and coincidentally the color of Christmas – the time when we held the show. This color is quite interesting; changing the tone brings different feelings," designer Dinh Truong Tung expressed.

The show is expected to bring together 150 guests, including many familiar names from the domestic entertainment and fashion industry, promising a vibrant and colorful fashion extravaganza.

The Ho Chi Minh City General Science Library was established in 1868, its predecessor being the library of the admirals. After many changes, the library was renamed the Ho Chi Minh City General Science Library and has been operating to this day.
