According to the South China Morning Post , Lieutenant Xu Fengcan was one of several Chinese military pilots participating in the Zhuhai International Airshow. However, this female pilot received particular attention from the media because of her resemblance to South Korean actress Song Hye-kyo.

The event, China's largest air show, took place from November 12-17 in Zhuhai city, Guangdong province.

According to Zhejiang Television, Lieutenant Xu Fengcan has earned the admiration of many international colleagues and exhibition visitors. People even lined up to take souvenir photos with the Chinese female pilot.

Lieutenant Từ Phong Xán received special attention from the media because of her resemblance to South Korean actress Song Hye-kyo.

Lieutenant Xu Fengcan first attracted attention in November 2022 when he gave an interview to China Central Television (CCTV) to introduce a new helicopter model at the China International Aerospace Exhibition that same year.

Besides her beautiful appearance, Xu Fengcan is also admired by the Chinese online community for her achievements in the military.

Lieutenant Xu Fengcan was born in 1999 in Zhejiang Province. After graduating from high school in 2017, she and nine other female students beat over 120,000 applicants across China to enroll in the Chinese Army Aviation Academy.

In 2020, Xu Fengcan became the first female pilot to successfully complete a solo flight mission. In 2021, she became one of the 10 female military pilots of the Chinese Army.

Lieutenant Tu Phong Xan was assigned to an armed helicopter unit of the Chinese Army and is currently piloting the Harbin Z-20 multi-purpose helicopter.

In 2023, female pilot Xu Fengcan was elected to the Chinese National People's Congress and was nominated as one of three ambassadors for the country's military schools in June.

When asked what motivated him to pursue his dream of conquering the skies, Lieutenant Tu Phong Xan said: "It's the passion for flying and my love for this military uniform."

Xu describes himself as someone who is ready to face challenges. "I used to tell myself, 'If I can overcome the difficulties of piloting complex aircraft, like the Harbin Z-20, my flying skills will improve significantly,'" Xu told CCTV.

Xu's story attracted many comments on Chinese social media. "She's both beautiful and brave! Deserves praise," one account wrote. "This is a true star we should admire," another commented.
