Duy Tan University female student wins Vietnam Science and Technology Female Student Award 2025

Student Nguyen Ngoc Han, majoring in Civil Engineering - Duy Tan University (DTU) was honored to receive the 2025 Vietnam Female Science and Technology Student Award at the Award Ceremony organized by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in coordination with the Ministry of Science and Technology on October 29, 2025 in Hanoi. Ngoc Han is one of 20 outstanding female students nationwide to be honored with this prestigious Award in 2025.

From that responsible mindset, Ngoc Han has constantly strived to assert herself on the path of studying and researching. Not only has she been an excellent student for many years, Ngoc Han has also won many awards such as:

• Third Prize of National Mechanics Olympiad 2025,
• First and Third Prizes of the 2025 and 2024 School of Technology and Engineering (SET) Student Scientific Research Conference,

Sharing the secret to balancing between studying, researching, participating in activities and personal life, Ngoc Han frankly said: " Having to balance between studying in class, doing scientific research, practicing with the Olympic Mechanics team, participating in Youth Union - Association activities and taking on tutoring work makes me always have to maintain a high level of discipline. I set up a 'to-do list' to manage my time effectively, but also do not forget to allow myself short breaks to recharge. The most important thing I learned is to know how to clearly identify to focus on the things that need to be prioritized, do the right focus, at the right time, avoid taking on too much and not be too perfectionist."

Ngoc Han also said that the biggest challenge is not the lack of knowledge but maintaining a stable mentality and balance in the cycle of studying and responsibility. " Fortunately, I always receive dedicated guidance from the teachers in the Faculty of Construction, DTU - who have guided me step by step from the foundation to the advanced level. I especially want to express my gratitude to AHLĐ.NGUT. Le Cong Co - who has deeply inspired me through the orientations on '4 core elements of a Youth Union officer: Study, Research, Entrepreneurship and Community' ", Ngoc Han confided.

Ngoc Han has made a specific plan in the coming time to focus on improving her professional knowledge, continuing to pursue applied research topics, especially solutions on Sustainable Materials and Structural Safety - the field in which Ngoc Han and her research team have achieved many positive results. Han hopes to take these studies further, possibly publishing them in international journals and applying them to construction projects, contributing to the development of the Construction Engineering industry in Vietnam.

Ngoc Han's passion is also put into building many youth projects with community significance, especially projects to support people in remote areas and areas with many difficulties. For Han, each project, no matter how small, is a way for specialized knowledge to be applied in practice, contributing to improving people's lives and spreading the spirit of " engineers for the community ".
