Tran Vu Van Anh, a dual-major student in English language and corporate finance from the University of Finance - Marketing (UFM), has recently attracted attention for winning the Golden Swallow Award for Outstanding Student 2025.
Recalling her experience participating in the Ho Chi Minh City high school and university student hosting skills competition, Van Anh said she tried her best to achieve good results.
In the paired performance round, Van Anh demonstrated excellent teamwork with her partner, delivering an impressive opening performance.

Transforming into an energetic on-site MC, Van Anh teamed up with co-host Duy Binh to vividly recreate the theme "The miraculous journey of the U23 team to the final," transporting the entire audience back to that day in Changzhou (China), reliving the golden moments of Vietnamese football.
This was the opening performance, so Vân Anh was judged by the panel to have given a fairly polished presentation. The student said she had to change the script three times and that this was entirely a stage from her imagination.
The group received praise from the judges for their polished performance, from the script to their stage presence.

Not every path is paved with roses; Van Anh has faced numerous challenges and setbacks on her journey to becoming a television presenter.
Having been drawn to the MC profession since childhood, Vân Anh has competed in numerous large and small competitions, but luck hasn't truly smiled upon her yet. These failures have helped her realize that she needs to constantly learn and improve every day.
One of the biggest lessons Van Anh learned after the 2025 Student Swallow Contest was the skill of co-hosting and improvising on stage, as these skills require listening and understanding.
She recognized that her strength lay in her excellent leadership energy and leveraged that in the competitions.

However, her biggest difficulty was that she lacked self-control, sometimes taking on too many things at once, which led to her experiencing a crisis.
There were times when the female student couldn't control herself, leading to unsatisfactory results. However, instead of giving up, Van Anh always diligently learned and was not afraid to accept feedback in order to improve.
In addition to dedicating time to pursuing a double major with a vast amount of knowledge, the female student actively participates in school clubs and extracurricular activities, which gives her more opportunities to gain practical experience.

Many people wonder if pursuing a double major is out of sync with her dream of becoming a professional MC, but for Van Anh, it's a harmonious combination.
She further explained: "My English language major helped me hone my fluency and opened up opportunities to become a bilingual MC in the future. Meanwhile, the logical thinking characteristic of the finance industry is a powerful tool for me to analyze problems from the smallest details, using reasoning and evidence to persuade the audience."
The female student shared that starting to pursue a professional MC career was very difficult because she didn't know how to balance everything in the beginning. But gradually, with passion and enthusiasm, she has strived to pursue that dream until now.
According to her, the most important factor for a presenter is "three virtues of heart": having a heart for people, a heart for the profession, and a heart for oneself.

Cao Tuan Kiet, President of the Student Union of the University of Finance - Marketing, had many words of praise for Tran Vu Van Anh. He commented that the student is extremely lively, intelligent, always ready to listen and accept change to improve herself every day.
Previously, when Van Anh participated in the UFM Voice Talent 2024 program, a competition to find UFM presenters, the female student impressed with her gentle demeanor, punctuality, and meticulousness.
“In Van Anh, the desire to shine on stage, along with a serious attitude towards learning, is demonstrated through each practice session, while her confidence is honed through moments of ‘holding the microphone’ in UFM news broadcasts and through programs organized by the Youth Union and Student Association,” Tuan Kiet shared.
After winning the Golden Swallow Award at the 2025 Student Swallow Contest, Van Anh aims to continue pursuing her public speaking career in a more focused and professional manner.
Despite lingering anxieties about the road ahead, this victory has provided renewed motivation and a solid foundation for the young woman to push herself forward, while also reminding her of her responsibility to live up to this title.
