During the past term, the Party Committee of Tra Don commune promoted the spirit of unity and consensus, leading to the achievement and exceeding of the main targets set forth in the Resolution of the 18th Party Congress of the commune.
The agricultural and forestry economy is stable, focusing on shifting towards increasing the area of high-value crops. The entire commune has planted over 35,000 new Ngoc Linh ginseng plants (reaching 701%), over 34,000 cinnamon trees (100%), and 104 hectares of new forest (500%).
In conjunction with economic development, rural infrastructure has been gradually invested in and improved according to a planned schedule. The commune focuses on building rural roads; upgrading electricity infrastructure, ensuring electricity supply for more than 550 households.
The resettlement of the population has been carried out effectively. Culture and social affairs have seen many positive changes. Ethnic affairs and policies related to ethnic groups and religions have received attention; social security policies have been ensured. People's lives have gradually improved, with the poverty rate decreasing by 5-7% per year. National defense and security have been maintained.
Significant achievements have been made in Party building and strengthening the political system. The commune Party Committee prioritizes and focuses on innovating the content of propaganda, education, and political and ideological training.
Delivering a speech at the congress, the Secretary of the Nam Tra My District Party Committee, Le Thanh Hung, acknowledged and praised the achievements and results that the Party Committee, government, and people of Tra Don commune have achieved in the past term.
Orienting some key tasks for the upcoming term, the Secretary of the Nam Tra My District Party Committee requested the Tra Don Commune Party Committee to continue leading and promoting economic development, improving people's lives; linking economic development with effectively addressing social welfare issues. Strengthening the construction of synchronous infrastructure; ensuring national defense and security.
In Party building work, Tra Don commune needs to continue innovating leadership methods, improving the capacity and fighting strength of Party organizations; building grassroots Party organizations must be closely combined with building strong government, the Fatherland Front, and other political and social organizations. Emphasis should be placed on developing Party members; improving propaganda and political and ideological education for Party members and the people.
The Congress elected the 19th term of the Tra Don Commune Party Committee, consisting of 12 members; and elected a delegation of 13 members to attend the 20th Congress of the Nam Tra My District Party Committee (2025-2030 term). At the same time, it discussed and unanimously adopted the Resolution of the 19th Congress of the Tra Don Commune Party Committee.
At its first meeting, the Executive Committee of the Tra Don Commune Party Committee, 19th term, re-elected Mr. Dinh Van Thanh as Secretary of the Commune Party Committee.
