
With the aim of enhancing cooperation, promoting development and maximizing the potential of e-sports in Southeast Asia, 11 member countries in the region met and elected the SEAEF Executive Board for the first term (2025-2029).
In particular, Mr. Do Viet Hung was elected as the President of the Federation. With many years of experience in managing and planning e-sports development strategies, Mr. Hung is currently the President of VIRESA and Vice President of the Asian E-Sports Federation (AESF) representing the Southeast Asia region.
The two positions of Vice Chairman and two positions of Executive Board members respectively belong to Mr. Ng Chong Geng (Singapore), Mr. Muhammad Naim Al Amin Bin Saharudin (Malaysia), Mr. Brian Lim (Philippines) and Mr. Camacho Ramos de Silva Pinto (Timor Leste).
SEAEF aims to become a focal point organization connecting components in the regional e-sports ecosystem, including publishers, tournament organizers, training facilities and educational institutions.
On that basis, The federation aims to build a sustainable foundation for the grassroots esports movement, develop a professional tournament system and create a clear roadmap for Southeast Asian athletes to reach the international arena .
Speaking at the launch ceremony, SEAEF Chairman Do Viet Hung emphasized: "SEAEF is built on the spirit of solidarity. By connecting strengths and working together, we will create a sustainable ecosystem - supporting athletes, strengthening national federations and bringing Southeast Asian esports to the world ."
To do this, in the first term, the Executive Board will be responsible for orienting activities, building cooperation mechanisms and synchronous development among member countries, contributing to making e-sports a sustainable development field with high professionalism in the region.
The establishment of SEAEF is expected to create a solid foundation for the synchronous development of e-sports in the region, contributing to promoting international cooperation, exchanging professional experiences, as well as enhancing the position of Southeast Asia on the world e-sports map.
