The Vietnam Record Organization has just officially listed Danh House (Lo Lo Chai village, old Ha Giang province, now Tuyen Quang) in the list of unique constructions. This is a creative community tourism model, contributing to honoring indigenous culture and promoting the local economy.
Danh House is honored not because of its enormous scale or expensive materials, but because of its architecture imitating a bronze drum (a spiritual symbol of the Lo Lo people) built in the middle of one of the most unique geological regions in Vietnam.
Nestled in the middle of Dong Van Karst Plateau Global Geopark, Danh House consists of 5 pairs of mother-child houses, simulating the image of male and female drums according to the concept of the origin of the Lo Lo people.

“Danh” in Lo Lo language means bronze drum. This name is the owner’s “implicit” explanation of the cultural spirit throughout the entire accommodation area.
According to the official website of Dánh House, these unique houses were built from clay and traditional adhesives, completed within a year with the contribution of more than 25 local workers. The large house is over 6m high, the drum diameter is 5.1m; the small house is 4.5m high. When entering that space, the natural scent of pine wood will bring visitors a warm and gentle feeling.
Located in the middle of the campus is a traditional wooden house that acts as the soul of the entire Danh House, which tells the story of embroidery, customs and cultural life of the Lo Lo people in the middle of the rocky plateau.

Many tourists have a lot of affection for Danh House. On travel forums, some people describe the feeling of “fullness, warmth and strangeness, like living with a part of the heritage”; others feel “beautiful mountain view, peaceful and close feeling, very worth experiencing”; some people are interested in the collection of antique ceramics, the unique set of drinking glasses or the literary bookshelf arranged with great intention…
Coming to Danh House, visitors also have the opportunity to attend the ancestral worship ceremony, watch the naming ceremony, observe Lo Lo women embroidering traditional costumes or enjoy dishes prepared by the locals. Many people say that just sitting in the garden, looking at the gray mountains stretching to Lung Cu flagpole, they feel their hearts calm down.
The project owner said that Danh House was not created to create a "check-in point" to attract tourists, but to preserve and spread the story of bronze drums, a treasure associated with the history and life of the Lo Lo people. "We want every visitor who comes here to feel a part of the Lo Lo culture, a part of the story of the northernmost land," the resort representative shared.

The record title that Danh Homestay has just received is not only a recognition of a unique idea but also a broadening of the perspective on efforts to preserve and renew the cultural identity of Lo Lo Chai.
From Lolo Village, Lolo Ancient House to Homie or Lo Lo Eco House..., each homestay in the village has its own story, contributing to the formation of a community tourism ecosystem rich in identity.

Lo Lo Chai village was honored by UN Tourism as "Best tourist village in 2025"
